Meet Ty Hayes of Sprinkle Me Pynk in Inland Empire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Hayes.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, I have always been very artsy and creative. I have also always loved to cook/bake, but I didn’t always think that I would be doing what I love full time. I was a Bus Driver/Coach Operator for ten years. I actually loved driving for a living, but upon the passing of my Father in 2013 work became a bit more stressful for me and I felt like no one at my job cared about what I was dealing with mentally and emotionally because I was sent right back out on the road two days after my Dads services and was having emotional break downs on the side of the road while I had passengers and I would need help from other drivers to catch up on my routes but It seemed like my managers had no empathy for what I was dealing with and just wanted the “job” done.

So I guess that was the push I needed to walk away and become my own BOSS! (I love how that sounds) It was hard in the beginning because here it is (at the time) I had two children and was pregnant with #3. It felt good to walk away in the beginning but then I started feeling like I made a bad decision. Then one day I decided to make some sweet treats and decorate them and my Boyfriend saw what I had done and was so impressed that he had went out and showed a few friends and they came back asking how much do I charge, and I didn’t know what to say because I wasn’t selling them but they insisted so I made my first sale for about 8.00 and from that day forward I never looked back.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh no. This for sure hasn’t been easy. It took hard work and dedication (In the words of the Late, Great, and Prolific Nipsey Hussle). I have had moments of doubt and feeling like I want to give up because I’m human and these are all feelings and emotions that we as humans can face when things we foresee for ourselves don’t happen as swiftly or go as planned. To overcome that I have my Faith in God and people around me to always encourage me and uplift me as I encourage and uplift myself.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sprinkle Me Pynk – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Hmmm… Let’s see. Well, I am a self-taught Baker, Event Planner, and Event decorator. I specialize in custom cakes, desserts, custom party favors, custom treats, full-service event planning and decorating. I’m known for my delicious cake flavors/combinations and my infamous banana pudding. The thing that I am most proud of as a company is never giving up on my “baby” I birthed Sprinkle Me Pynk and I have been mothering, nurturing it, and watching it grow, and learning new things along the way about business and myself and I am very proud of how far I have come especially since I started with nothing and my name has been in rooms that I haven’t even entered. The things that set me apart from others that I’m not in this business just for the money I put my heart and soul into this business and I make everything with Love and I’m here to make others happy.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
So… I am currently working on my mobile dessert bar. So be on the lookout for the Sprinkle Me Pynk on wheels!

Sprinkle me Pynk has done treats for couple of my daughters birthday parties and I’ll just say she’s (Ty) nothing short of amazing. Ty is extremely professional, very welcoming and her treats are DELICIOUS. I haven’t thought about any other baker since!
