Meet Sara Delpasand of THE I IN LIFE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Delpasand.

Sara, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I dedicated my twenties to working hands-on with at-risk youth. My passion for working with youth derived from the sense of responsibility I felt towards building on a society that would be of service to all. My mindset was that if I wanted to have a better society for all, then I had to help create it.

So I developed youth facilities and arranged projects to help stimulate and assist in the personal growth of the millennials. To complete the circle of my knowledge and experience, I decided to write a book based on the last project that I did for the youth facility, which was a “find your purpose” workshop. The youth that attended the workshop experienced more clarity on their path, and there was a shift in their awareness and outlook on life. Knowing how life changing that shift in awareness could be, I felt responsible to share that experience and knowledge with as many as possible. So I dedicated that message to a book that I named “the I in life.”

Today I work as a business coach, and I use the principles and concepts of “the I in life” to coach executives, teams and organizations. I’m trying to provide the same concept of coaching that I once did with youth now to the corporate world. I believe that the same foundation we need as individuals to build on is of the same importance for the corporate world. Meaning we must have a clear purpose and understand our “why.” It brings clarity to the company’s culture and helps align everyone within their hierarchy. When everyone feels included and strives for the same purpose, the company becomes successful.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into THE I IN LIFE story. Tell us more about the business.
I am an entrepreneur and the author of the self-help book “the i in life.” This book targets “purpose seekers,” those in the quest of creating clarity on who they are, where they are going and how to get there. “the I in life” is available in 47,000 bookstores around the world. Everything that I do stems from the concept and the message of “the I in life.”

-So what is “the I in life?”

Finding your purpose in life will stimulate behavioral consistency; serving as the motivating force to overcome obstacles, seek alternative means, and maintain focus on the goal in spite of changes to the environment that may interfere with the pursuit.

I believe that if you uncover a sense of purpose in life and you can survive nearly anything. This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The book will help guide readers to uncover their purpose and therefore unveil a sense of direction.

-How are the principles of “the I in life” applied and used in the corporate world?

My business coaching is designed to meet with both executives and staff, discerning the corporate vision and the interests, goals, and aspirations of both management and staff. I use “the I in life” to create clarity on what is needed to build a bridge between the team. Crossing that bridge means a more proactive, healthier work environment.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I love the quote: “luck is when preparation meets opportunity,” and that is something that I live by. I’ve been dedicated to my personal growth and worked hard on adding to my skills and knowledge, perfecting my talent every single day.

Doing so I have prepared myself for any opportunities that have come my way and therefore managed to thrive and successfully navigated through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
