Nadya, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My professional journey began at an early age in my country of birth Russia in a small town called Khabarovsk as a little girl I learned the importance of looking healthy and beautiful from my mother and grandmother. The first thing my mother did as she woke up in the morning was to fix her hair, makeup and to make sure she looked her best before doing anything else, this was not unique to my family, in fact it was a common practice in many households throughout Russia such as making breakfast or morning coffee. My mom and her friends often got together so they could update one another and to share information pertinent to looking beautiful, evaluate products, makeup, hair product and skin care.
In absence of social media networks and today’s modern communication that was the only way of sharing information and also little gossip, I guess those get-togethers would be equivalent to Google, Yelp, Instagram or any other modern way of gathering and sharing information. this phenomenon was not unique to my mom’s generation either, my grandmother lived close by to us and frequently visited and if needed she would babysit my brother and I, no matter the occasion she looked as she was the one going out and she looked amazing. I learned so much from her on how to look my best, I recall some of her advice to my mom and I, she reminded us the importance of taking care of our skin and to defy time, it was clear she knew how to slow down the aging process she looked healthy and vibrant.
Also without a healthy looking skin nothing else will work “is like painting the best drawing and using premium paint but on a broken canvas. I understood exactly what my grandmother was talking about the foundation of beauty is a healthy and rejuvenated skin. Our skin is the largest organ in our body and we need to be vigilant by taking care of this important organ. back home in Russia the competition was fierce for research and developing the most effective products and technics. and we took pride in our success in research to help skin discover the source of its radiance.
After I completed my post graduated studies I joined one of the premier skin care company in Khabarovsk one of the most known brands combined with cutting-edge research and development in products and skin care services. As I completed my training and began treating clients I learned some important principles for achieving healthy skin and beauty rituals .through my extensive training and work experiences in Russia and also here in USA I have come to realize that everyone’s skin is unique and different so it is essential to create a highly customized solution for every client and their specific need so the skin can rediscover it youthful condition and be rejuvenated as I met with new clients I emphasize the importance of creating a customized treatments and products that can have the ultimate results.
In most cases, during my initial consultation, I have noticed most clients use more products that are needed for their skin and possibly harming it rather than being useful or helpful it is the quality of products rather than quantity for achieving healthy and beautiful skin. Also is important to educate clients about their skin condition and the most effective solutions and paying attention to the way we live and our individual lifestyle that could have an impact in the way our skin responds, some of the factors that must be considered are stress, lack of sleep, proper nutrients, dehydration, damage from sun exposure, childbirth, menopause, acne, age spots, skin tone and texture, and natural elements. Our skin is as different and unique as our eye colors, hair texture and our genetic makeup so every individual skin care solutions must be customized for each client.
