Meet Lidia Nunez of Boston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lidia Nunez.

Hi Lidia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My love for flowers started very early in my life. I found myself being completely drawn to the wonderful feeling that flowers brought me. Their colors and smells overpowered me and I felt completely enamored. Over a decade ago I persuaded a Florist to hire me to help in her flower shop and the rest is history. After that I worked at other flower shops and freelanced for very talented Floral Designers. I also attended Cass Floral School in 2022 for Professional Floral Design.
During the Pandemic I decided to pursue my passion and start my own Floral Business. In 2020 Boston Luxe Floral Design was born, and I finally gave myself permission to explore my passion for art, creativity and love for flowers. As I’m still learning the business end of having a business, I am happy to bring my client’s floral visions to life. Which is why I do the work that I do. I truly enjoy working with flowers and bringing people joy.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! I think in any business there’s ups and downs. No different in the Floral business. It’s been a challenge to keep going when things get slow. Sometimes it’s not just the business in general but personal life that can get in the way of a smooth road. However, I am a professional and continue on without anyone noticing that there’s bumps on the road. I’ve adopted the philosophy that “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.” And it so true! I pride myself on the challenges that I’ve been able to overcome over the years. Also, my flower community is very supportive and encouraging.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Professional Floral Designer. I specialize in creating custom floral designs for each of my events. I am known for creating unique, elevated floral designs for my clients. I am most proud of being a part of important life moments for my clients such as weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and all types of celebrations. What sets me apart from others is my love and passion for flowers and making people smile. I truly enjoy seeing the joy that my flowers bring to others.
