Conversations with Jeromy Rosa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeromy Rosa.

Hi Jeromy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I first started acting in high school theater productions like Fame & Seussical, I also participated in Drama/Shakespeare Monologue competitions my junior/senior year. I actually ended up winning the Shakespeare Monologue competition my senior year doing Julius Caesar’s speech.

I moved to Los Angeles in 2021 and started doing more professional work for shows like The Rookie, Mayans M.C., Seal Team, The Offer, All-American, Station 19 and Bust Down.

I got to where I am today by just tuning out the outside noise, everyone has an opinion on everything you do nowadays but what really matters is how much weight you hold in those opinions. No one has ever become great in what they do by listening to third party opinions or following advice from someone that hasn’t achieved what you want for your life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not, I’m currently going through challenges in my acting career at the moment but anything that’s truly worth pursuing isn’t going to be easy.

The acting world is a very tough industry to break into and you have to put in an insane amount of effort to even get the littlest bit of traction. Also the end goal is to ultimately be casted in something which is outside of your direct control.
All you really can do is make sure you’re ready when that opportunity to be casted is available.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I would say I’m most proud of becoming Sag-Aftra eligible, just gaining eligibility is really difficult but definitely an important milestone in trying to get to the next level in acting.

What sets me apart is definitely my approach to the craft, I’m always studying different actors and their techniques which helps me to create my own method.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I think impact is what matters most to me, I want to be able to say I made a difference in someone’s life and I think that should be the ultimate goal for everyone.
