Community Highlights: Meet Jessica Camacho The Fairy Garden Books And Gifts of The Fairy Garden, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Camacho The Fairy Garden Books And Gifts.

Hi Jessica Camacho, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A divorce and empty nest syndrome had me looking for a new chapter. I’ve been involved in spiritual and metaphysical exploration and holistic healing for over 30 years. I also have a background in business management and business ownership although it was always with a partner. This is my first solo venture. I was able to combine all my past knowledge and experience to found The Fairy Garden Books and Gifts. However, we go beyond books and gifts. We are a multifaceted business that offers retail products such as books, gifts, jewelry, home decor, candles, incense, crystals, and one of a kind crafts from local artisans. We also offer psychic/intuitive/mediumship readings, holistic healing services such as Reiki, Life Coaches and astrology. Our classroom hosts a series of different events such as yoga, meditation, sound baths, personal growth workshops, support groups, book clubs, and poetry readings. Finally, I have turned my store into a rotating gallery of art from local artists.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The vision came together seamlessly. I saw the “for lease” banner one night at dinner with my daughter. After dinner we walked over to peak inside and the whole vision just came to me. This was the end of August 2025. By the end of September the lease was signed and my doors opened on Dec. 2nd. The biggest hurdle was getting a sign permit from the city which took 4 months. Some days are still really slow as we continue to get the word out about our location and services but it increases weekly. I believe I am on the right track.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Fairy Garden, LLC?
I call my store New Age meets Art. The Fairy Garden books and gifts specializes in books on spirituality, self-help, philosophy, classic literature and poetry. In addition, we offer daily psychic/tarot readings, mediumship, life coaching and astrology. Our adjacent classroom has an array of events offered on a regular basis such as meditation, sound baths, personal growth workshops, book clubs, poetry readings, support groups and women’s circles. Our walls are decorated with fine art from local artists making our space somewhat of an art gallery. I believe that self-help/spiritual pursuits and art, literature and poetry all provide a salve for the soul. We tie this all together by offering a relaxing community space to gather, talk or just hang out with a playful and whimsical environment to take the edge off of daily stressors. We have ample seating areas in our store to encourage you to stay as long as you like. Culturally we have been separated and divided since the pandemic. People are looking for connection and community and that is exactly what we offer at The Fairy Garden.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have found that creating win/win partnerships with local authors, artists and artisans has helped my business tremendously. By supporting their work in my store, it creates the community connection I envision. Everyone makes a little money, everyone gets some exposure and we get to collaborate with like minded people in a supportive environment. Regarding mentorship, my only advice is to find a leader that has humility and sincerely wants to help without expecting anything in return.
