Daily Inspiration: Meet Tania Soto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tania Soto.

Hi Tania, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Flowers have been my passion since I was a little girl. I began my journey in floral design at the age of 17 as a floral assistant during summers in Caracas, Venezuela. The more I worked with flowers, the more my passion grew for the art of creating with natural blooms.

After graduating from high school, I knew I wanted to continue pursuing what truly made me happy, so I decided to further my education in design. Alongside floral design, I also studied graphic design, which allowed me to combine my two greatest passions: art and flowers.

In 2019, I decided it was time to start my own business and follow my vision independently. This career has brought both challenges and beautiful achievements, but no matter the obstacles, I will never stop doing what I love with all my heart.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a career in floral and event design comes with many challenges behind the beauty people see at the final event. The industry requires long hours, physical strength, creativity under pressure, and the ability to adapt quickly to unexpected situations. Every event carries a great responsibility because flowers are highly delicate, timelines are tight, and clients expect perfection for some of the most important moments of their lives.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance the artistic side of the business with the operational side — managing budgets, logistics, production teams, deliveries, installations, and client expectations while still protecting the creativity and passion that inspired me to start.

As an independent designer, there have been moments of uncertainty, sacrifices, and difficult seasons, but each obstacle has helped me grow stronger, more resilient, and more confident in my vision. Through every challenge, my love for floral art continues to motivate me to create meaningful and unforgettable experiences through flowers.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a floral and event designer and the founder of Unforgettable Flowers by Tania. I specialize in floral design for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. I’m known for creating designs that feel elegant, artistic, and natural, while still making a strong visual impact.

What I love most about my work is being able to transform spaces and create emotions through flowers. I enjoy working with texture, movement, color, and organic designs that feel alive and unique. My background in graphic design has also influenced the way I see composition and creativity, so I always pay attention to the overall visual experience.

What I’m most proud of is building my business from something I truly love. This career has had many challenges and sacrifices, but I’ve stayed passionate and committed to growing as a designer and artist. Starting my own company in 2019 was a big moment for me because it allowed me to fully express my creativity and vision.

I think what sets me apart is that I create from the heart. I don’t just make floral arrangements I create experiences that feel personal and meaningful for my clients. I truly love what I do, and I think that passion shows in my work.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is creating work that feels meaningful, authentic, and memorable. I believe flowers have the power to create emotion, bring people together, and transform important moments into lasting memories. That is why I put so much care and passion into every design I create.

It’s also very important to me to stay true to my artistic vision while continuing to grow and evolve creatively. I always want my clients to feel understood and to know that every detail was created with intention and heart.

Beyond the artistic side, what matters most is being able to do what I truly love every day. Building a career from my passion has not always been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding, and that motivates me to continue pushing myself creatively and professionally.
