Hi Rony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I first arrived in this country from El Salvador, my brother was working for a roofing company and helped me get my first job as a laborer. I started at the bottom, learning the trade hands-on, one roof at a time. What began as an opportunity quickly turned into a career. Over the last 24 years, roofing hasn’t just been my job… it’s been my craft. As time went on, I realized my attention to detail and commitment to doing things the right way set me apart. I knew I was capable of more than just being an employee. That drive for quality and pride in my work is what pushed me to grow, improve, and ultimately build something of my own.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges are what made the foundation of TRUFIX so strong. My journey started with a major language barrier; I’d spend my days on a roof and my nights in school learning English. While it’s a lifelong process, I’ve realized that clear communication is just as important as a leak proof roof, so I give my best to both every single day. Navigating the licensing process was another uphill climb, filled with complex requirements and hurdles, but I’ve never been one to give up. Every obstacle was just a lesson in how to build a better business.

While the TRUFIX name is a fresh face in the local market, I personally bring 24 years of experience to every job site. I founded this business to cut out the middleman and bring my technical skill directly to homeowners. We specialize in residential and commercial roofing, as well as seamless gutter installations, using only premium materials. What truly sets us apart and why we were named a 2025 Nextdoor Favorite, is our obsession with detail. We don’t just install roofs; we provide peace of mind, ensuring every family in Los Angeles has a safe, durable shield over their heads.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success is the pride I feel in every roof that bears the TRUFIX name. It’s about more than just construction; it’s about providing safety and peace of mind to the families we serve. I’ve built this business on the belief that a good reputation is worth more than rapid growth. When a homeowner is glad they hired us and feels secure under their new roof, that is when I know we’ve truly won.
