Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeeeun Lee.
Hi Jeeeun , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey is deeply rooted in the art world. I grew up in Korea attending Sunhwa Arts Middle and High School, which was a very competitive environment and really shaped both my discipline and curiosity. That’s also where I first started dreaming about moving to New York : a place where art, culture, and experimentation naturally come together.
That dream eventually became reality. I’ve now spent over 10 years in NYC, studying computer arts and creative production while building my career. I grew into a VFX compositor and later a supervisor, working hands-on across high-end global commercials, including 11 Super Bowl spots, as well as large-scale brand campaigns. Through my creative studio, I also had the opportunity to work as a post-production and VFX supervisor on K-pop music videos, indie films, and projects with directors I had admired for years.
While I was deeply immersed in the visual and art world, I always carried a long-term goal : to build something meaningful that could support people in a more tangible way. Not just through visuals, but through ideas, function, and technology.
That mindset eventually led me to create Maison Von An Van Ta, which means “Of Idea, Of If.” It represents the moment when imagination becomes reality. What began as a creative studio naturally evolved as I became more involved in shaping ideas earlier, building systems, and thinking beyond the screen. Today, Maison Von An Van Ta operates as a creative-led brand house, focused on translating imagination into tangible experiences as blending aesthetics, function, and thoughtful design while keeping proprietary work confidential.
At the core, I’m focused on creating a new kind of luxury, one that’s emotionally resonant, intelligently designed, and grounded in real human needs. Everything I’ve done so far has been about turning imagination into something that can actually exist, function, and matter. And now, we’re excited to begin sharing what’s coming next.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life is never a smooth road. I believe it’s really about how you choose to embrace challenges. I’ve always been through adventure, and in many ways I thrive on uncertainty as moments of hardship or the unexpected tend to motivate me rather than stop me.
From small to big, I’ve gone through many adventurous moments in my life. Those experiences definitely brought stress and pressure, but what matters most is the speed of resilience of how quickly you adapt, reset, and take the next step. I’ve learned that when you look back, those difficult moments often become the foundation that gives you a stronger mindset and a more solid base to move forward.
I’ve seen a company I loved close suddenly, witnessed how quickly our industry can shift, and experienced goods and bads along the way. Through all of that, one thing became clear to me: as long as you’re alive, there is always a choice you can make. And in the process, you learn to care more deeply about the people you have around you because that’s what truly carries you through change.
As you know, we’re big fans of Maison Von An Van Ta. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Maison Von An Van Ta was born from a visual-first world. Our foundation comes from years of hands-on work in high-end visual production, collaborating with incredible artists, directors, and global brands. Visualization, storytelling, and execution are deeply embedded in how we think and work.
But from the beginning, the vision was always bigger than visuals alone.
As the studio grew, so did our curiosity – about how ideas move beyond the screen and into real life. We began exploring new categories and a new definition of luxury, one that blends aesthetics, function, and imagination. What we’re building now represents a new wave: creative at its core, but designed to live in the physical world through thoughtfully developed experiences and products.
What makes this moment exciting is the transition. We’re evolving from offering creative services with remarkable collaborators into something broader and more intentional : a creative-led brand house shaping its own universe. That evolution has been deliberate, creative, and deeply rooted in our innovative DNA.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is having the opportunity to experience my family’s business up close through international business events and travel. From a young age, I was exposed to how business operates across different countries and cultures.
I was able to observe how relationships were built with care, respect, and consistency over time. That early exposure helped me understand the power of human energy, collaboration, and community beyond borders.
Those experiences felt grounding. They gave me confidence, curiosity, and adaptability early on, and shaped my adventurous mindset as well as my belief in ideas and faith. They also taught me that real success isn’t measured only by numbers, but by the communities you build and grow with people you care about. That perspective continues to guide how I view leadership, collaboration, and the way I work and create today.
