Today we’d like to introduce you to Keren Cohen.
Keren, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I’m a mother, a wife and a photographer. Live in the sunshine city of LA and love every sunrise and each sunset. I studied some fancy-schmancy stuff but always had a passion for photography, as I grow up beside my wonderful father, who never missed an opportunity to catch us in every single moment. I’ll spare you my childhood pajama photos…
I feel grateful for the gift bestowed on me. Making people’s special moments last forever. My life experience taught me that these moments we choose to document are the ones we will cherish for life
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I’m a people photographer, I Specialize in Maternity, family, newborn, kids, boudoir and event photography. I love working with people as they give me inspiration to make things better, to create and to draw a moment. I love being there in their happy adventure and to snap it into a frame, meet them after a while and to see my work hanging all over the walls and decorating their houses, it fills my heart with joy. My work is not just to take picture, it is truly to tell a story that will kept for future generations. The ability to walk thorough so many paths and to touch so many faces and hearts for me is a gift and I can’t be more happy about it.
Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
I believed that in this social media era it is easy to shine better than before, social media gives you a platform to get creative by promoting yourself in any way that will work for you and your clients.
There is so many ways the photographer can market his work without spending any money.
LA is a great city for artists and photographer, encourage artists development by opening more art galleries, art shows, photography and art magazine and lifestyle that drew people to wanting to reconnect and live under this influence.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
