Rising Stars: Meet Alberto Fabbretti of Hollywood Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alberto Fabbretti.

Hi Alberto, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi! I’m an actor and fashion model. I was born and raised in Italy, and moved to the US in 2018 when I was still 19. I studied acting in New York for a couple of years, till I decided to move to LA in 2021.

I had already written, produced and performed in some short films when I was in NYC, but after moving to Los Angeles I started to build my resume, step by step, booking lead and featured roles in film and commercial productions. During the last year, I have been working mostly in vertical drama series, where I landed numerous speaking roles.

When I was in NYC, I also developed an interest in modeling and started applying for fashion shows. I walked the runway for the first time at the NYFW in February 2020. Then I built my comp card and throughout the years I have been booking shows at NYFW, Paris Fashion Week and LAFW.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been pretty much a smooth road, but of course I also had to deal with some obstacles. The entertainment industry is full of them and it’s very important to know how to face them or dodge them. Making the right choices is essential.

I have always taken care of myself, finding a balance between what I wanna do and what the industry requires. For sure acting and modeling careers are filled with things that could potentially be seen as obstacles, but it’s important to put yourself first and realize that all those things that some people call “obstacles” are instead a tool to learn how to move forward, to realize that something isn’t moving in the right direction and needs to be changed, or they are simply something not to care too much about.

Then the process isn’t always smooth of course, but obstacles can be seen as a strength, not necessarily as something that hinders the path.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an actor and fashion model.

Regarding acting, I have a background in both comedy and drama, so I have been working in film, TV and commercial productions, as well as stand-up comedy and improv shows. I’m known for lead roles in short films, featured roles in big commercials and for recently performing in vertical drama series.

Regarding modeling, I work in the runway and print industry. I’m known for walking for major fashion brands in NYC, Paris and LA.

I’m very proud of everything I have done, especially of navigating the entertainment industry by myself, following my intuition.

I moved to the US by myself and, even though I met some wonderful people along the way, I always had to be the one guiding the ship, and I did it with very little help and not so much knowledge about the industry.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I don’t have a favorite app, book or podcast, however I read several books in the past about acting and on how to write a script. Also, one thing that I do every day is reading and watching the news. I always want to be updated on what’s going on around the world we live in.
