Today we’d like to introduce you to Liron Kayvan.
Hi Liron, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
MY STORY — Liron “Kayvman” Kayvan
My story essentially starts as a kid. I always loved sports and working out, particularly karate and soccer. It’s how I bonded with a very hardworking father who I didn’t get to see too much. It always stood me in good stead in life so it was kind of a rock I could cling to during times of transition or through different schools, being a teenager and then eventually moving to america from the UK. That was probably the hardest thing I ever did and the only constant was fitness particularly Krav Maga and weightlifting. It saved my life honestly.
My path into fitness wasn’t something I planned. It unfolded slowly, almost accidentally, as I tried to figure out my own life. I grew up active, but I didn’t always imagine I’d one day run a gym. What I did know was that fitness gave me stability during times when things felt uncertain. Over time, it became the anchor that helped me build discipline, confidence, and direction.
Before starting Beyond Fitness LA, I trained in a lot of different environments — commercial gyms, boxing studios, MMA gyms, private coaching settings. I paid attention to what people struggled with, and what they were really looking for. It wasn’t just workouts. Most people wanted structure, accountability, and a place where they felt supported. They wanted a coach who actually cares and a community that feels welcoming.
That’s what led me to create Beyond Fitness LA. I wanted to build a space that combined effective training with a personal, community-driven atmosphere. No ego, no gimmicks — just solid coaching, real results, and a culture where people feel like they belong.
In the beginning, it was just me, a small space, and a handful of clients who trusted me. As word spread, the community grew. We started running challenges, introducing boxing and strength programs, and eventually developing a full training system that blends physical conditioning with mindset. That part became important enough that I launched The Kayvman Show, my podcast series focused on mental fitness, stress, discipline, and the habits that support long-term change.
Today, Beyond Fitness LA has become a place where people of all backgrounds train side-by-side — from beginners to athletes, models, professionals, and anyone looking to improve themselves. What I’m most proud of is the culture: the consistency, the support, and the way people show up for each other.
My goal has always been the same:
Help people get stronger — not just in the gym, but in their daily lives.
I still see this as the early chapters of what I’m building, but I’m grateful for how far it’s come and excited for where it’s going.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it was difficult. As I mentioned the move was very hard as I left a girlfriend, family and all my friends at 18. And wasn’t prepared emotionally for the isolation and LA is not an easy place to make good friends. I struggled with depression on and off for years but fitness really was my safety net. Life felt manageable after a good workout.
As you know, we’re big fans of Beyond Fitness LA. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Beyond Fitness LA is a results-driven boxing and strength training studio in West Los Angeles that focuses on personalized coaching, small-group training, and a supportive community atmosphere. The gym blends boxing fundamentals, functional strength work, and conditioning into structured programs that are challenging but accessible for all levels. Members come for the workouts, but stay for the accountability, the culture, and the consistency the environment creates. BFLA is designed to feel personal rather than corporate — a place where people know each other’s names, where coaching is hands-on, and where progress is tracked closely. The studio’s mission is simple: help people get stronger, healthier, and more confident through sustainable training and real human connection.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I love Tolle’s Power of Now. I believe spiritual connection is the ultimate source of all one’s power and goodness.
Aside from that I listen to YouTube a lot, particularly for mindset guidance. A guy I look up to a lot in the nutrition space is Paul Saladino.
