Check Out Hung Tran’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hung Tran.

Hi Hung, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Sure! My journey started with a simple curiosity and passion for photography. Over the years, that curiosity grew into a drive to build something meaningful.

I began by taking a small gig at a large resort, where they invited me back to photograph many events and capture daily moments with their guests. Those experiences taught me a lot about both creativity and the business side of photography.

Eventually, I took the leap to start Emerald Sky Photography, where I could bring my ideas to life and help turn my clients’ visions into reality. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to capture stories filled with love, warmth, and connection.

It’s definitely been a journey of constant learning and that’s what keeps it exciting.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many creatives starting out, I faced a lot of uncertainty, from figuring out how to turn my passion into a full-time career, to learning how to run the business side of things on my own.

There were times when work was inconsistent, or when I doubted my style and direction. But those challenges pushed me to grow, refine my craft, and really understand what kind of experience I wanted to create for my clients.

Over time, I learned to trust the process, embrace the ups and downs, and focus on delivering meaningful work. Every challenge ended up teaching me something valuable and that’s been just as rewarding as the successes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m the owner and photographer behind Emerald Sky Photography, where I specialize in capturing authentic, emotional, and timeless moments. My work focuses on weddings, portraits, couples, and all the in-between moments that tell a story. My team and I make sure to photograph every detail from our clients’ guests to the smallest touches that make each celebration unique.

What I’m most proud of is the connection I build with my clients. Every time I pick up the camera, I want them to feel comfortable and genuine like spending time with a friend rather than posing for a photo. That approach helps me capture natural, heartfelt images that reflect each person’s true personality and story.

What really sets me apart is my personality. I love to joke around, make people laugh, and create real moments instead of stiff poses. My goal is always to bring out the best, most natural smiles especially from the groom! I want every photo to capture true joy and emotion, not just a perfect pose.

For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about helping people feel confident, happy, and fully themselves in front of the camera.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best way to work with me is to reach out directly through my website or Instagram, or just text me! I love connecting with couples, families, and other creatives who value genuine storytelling and emotion in their photos.

Whether it’s capturing a wedding, a portrait session, or a creative collaboration, I always aim to make the experience fun, comfortable, and memorable. I’m currently working with local vendors who share a similar vision for authentic, heartfelt work.

The biggest way people can support me is by sharing my work, recommending me to friends and family, or simply engaging with my photos online every kind word and referral truly means the world.
