Check Out Karina Argumedo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karina Argumedo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up, holistic therapies weren’t just something we did they were a way of life. Natural remedies and traditional healing were normal in our home.
That foundation led me to pursue every modality that could help people heal. For this reason, I became very interested in the benefits of ayurvedic medicine, which lead to other non-invasive treatments to heal the body. Now I focus on a holistic approach: massage therapy, fascia therapy, and body sculpting for physical healing, combined with NLP, the Silva Method, and PEMF therapy for mental and emotional wellness. I’m always searching for ways to help the body remember its innate ability to heal itself.
This is why I named my business Munay, which means “eternal, unconditional love” in Quechua—it’s the embodiment of everything I believe in. My mission is to blend ancient wisdom with modern wellness, creating a space where we don’t just treat symptoms—we honor the body’s intelligence and facilitate its natural healing process. Through holistic solutions, I nurture mind, body, and soul.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road but I don’t see struggles, I see opportunities to evolve. When insurance doesn’t cover holistic care and people view wellness as a luxury rather than a necessity, I had difficult choice to make, either give up or adapt. I chose to adapt. I expanded from a Women’s Wellness Center to treating everyone. I became an approved provider for our veterans who need healing. The journey taught me that obstacles aren’t roadblocks they’re invitations to grow. Every time I had to pivot, I discovered a new community that needed healing. Every limitation became a doorway to serve in ways I hadn’t imagined.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Munay, I blend ancient wisdom with modern wellness. But my main goal is to teach self-love and reconnection from within. Every modality I use is a doorway to that deeper truth that healing begins when you remember you’re worthy of it. I specialize in helping people understand that the body has an innate ability to heal itself. My work isn’t about fixing, it’s about facilitating our own body’s intelligence and awakening our connection to ourselves. Through NLP and the Silva Method, I help reprogram limiting beliefs and tap into the mind’s healing power. Whatever brings someone in—chronic pain, fascial tension, body stress, I focus on the root cause: the disconnection from self that manifests as physical suffering. I’m most proud of making holistic healing accessible to anyone. I truly believe that I’m creating a sanctuary where ancient and modern medicine can coexist.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I don’t see risk the way most people do. To me, the biggest risk is not following what your soul knows is true. When I decided to dedicate my life to holistic healing in a world that views it as “alternative” or “luxury,” people thought I was crazy. No insurance coverage, constant need to prove my healing programs, fighting the stigma that natural healing isn’t “real” medicine that looked like risk to everyone else. That felt like the real risk to me. Another major risk I took was expanding beyond my original women’s-only center to welcome clients of all genders. This meant stepping outside my comfort zone and rethinking my business model, but I knew that the healing modalities I offered could benefit everyone. It was about making holistic wellness accessible to anyone seeking true healing.
