Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevor Damiani.
Hi Trevor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been a businessman at heart—driven by big dreams to own something of my own, make my money work for me, and inspire others along the way. I started small: lemonade stands, car washes, hustling on the streets. I hit rock bottom—homeless, institutionalized, and losing close friends to addiction. Those moments broke me down until one night I found myself staring at the sky, asking God how to find happiness.
Not long after, I found myself in the kitchen with one of the world’s greatest chefs, Josiah Citrin. He told me I’d be a great chef if I quit smoking weed. I took that to heart, got sober, and everything changed. I joined a college painting internship with UCLA, went to culinary school, and built lifelong brotherhood through the fraternity I helped start.
From there, I launched the Curb Appeal food truck, became head chef at two restaurants, Remix and Terrace, and today I run a thriving DJ, photo booth, and event rental company. I have failed so much it is an every day thing for me. Every chapter—every failure and victory—has been part of the sauce that made me who I am.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth seas never built good captains!
