Meet Anahi Carrillo of All Handyman Services LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anahi Carrillo.

Hi Anahi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My husband Dennis and I started this because I recognized my husband’s talents. I saw how hard he worked. I recognized where we lived and I saw a need in the community for odd jobs, and small repairs to be completed.

When we started picking up jobs on the weekend, he started getting referrals, and we met a lot of great people along the way. They taught us what property management was, and we began the process of building that leg of the company. Along came the pandemic years later, and we began to work with the public more and remodelers, etc… Now we had 3-4 active legs of the company at this point.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely, it was not a smooth road. We had no idea how to price, no idea how to manage customers, and no idea what liability insurance was starting out. Needless to say, payroll was a whole other beast.

Hiring continues to be our struggle, because we want to make sure we always hire and keep the best. Our best hire has to be Stacey, because when I met Stacey in PTA, I connected with her immediately, and ever since then, she has worked with me at the office, and now she’s our Chief Operating Manager.

For Dennis along side his dad, he was working 7 days a week with his full time job, and this on the side for a long time while we grew the company.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
All Handyman has been around over 15 years now. We are a boutique Handyman business that is local in the San Dimas and surrounding areas. We specialize in small and odd jobs, and offer quality solutions to those not seeking a contractor. We take pride on a human answering the phone as much as possible. Put simply, we show up. Believe it or not, there’s Handyman out there that don’t answer the phone, much less show up.

We are professional, consistent, and we keep it simple, that’s what we are most proud of.

What does success mean to you?
Success is defined by the beholder. Success to my husband and I is being able to take our kids to school and being present. And to Stacey who is a key component to All Handyman, success is improving upon our previous versions of ourselves as often as possible.
