Rising Stars: Meet Lorensa of North Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorensa.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
onestly my journey has been a mix of magic and madness. I started making music because it was the only thing that really made sense to me. When I moved to LA I didn’t know anyone or have any real connections, I just knew I had something I needed to say. The path hasn’t been easy at all. There were times I felt completely lost, times I questioned if it was even worth it. But every struggle shaped me.

I learned how to do everything on my own, from recording to building visuals to finding the right people who actually believe in what I’m doing. My music became like therapy for me, it’s where I put all my emotions, love, pain, heartbreak, growth. Every release feels like another chapter of who I am. I’m still figuring things out, but that’s the beauty of it. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and how I never gave up, even when it felt impossible.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a smooth road. I think when you chase something real, it’s never easy. There were times I didn’t know how I was going to make things happen, financially and emotionally. Being independent means you carry everything on your shoulders. You have to believe in yourself even when no one else does.
There were moments where I felt overlooked, moments where I questioned if people really saw my worth. But those same moments pushed me to work harder, to trust my vision, and to never lower my standards. I’ve had to rebuild myself so many times, but that’s what made me stronger. Every setback taught me something, and I think that’s what gives my music its depth and honesty.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer, songwriter, and visual artist. I create music that tells stories and makes people feel something. Every song I make comes from something real I have lived through. I am known for building worlds around my music. I am very visual, and every release has a full concept behind it, from the colors to the story to the fashion.
What I am most proud of is doing everything independently. Every song, music video, and creative decision comes from me. I do not wait for people to give me a chance, I create it for myself. What sets me apart is how personal my work is and how much I care about every detail. I am not just putting out music, I am creating an experience that feels alive and unforgettable.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I think finding a mentor or building connections is really about energy and intention. You cannot force it. The right people show up when you are consistent, when you put yourself out there, and when your work speaks for itself. For me, most of my best connections happened naturally through projects, studios, and mutual respect.
My advice is to focus on building real relationships, not just networking to get something. Be genuine, show interest in what others do, and always stay professional. People remember how you make them feel. When you are serious about your art and keep showing up, the right people will find you and want to be part of your journey.
