Before STF DIAMONDS began to shine in the world, I quietly walked a path filled with determination and resilience.
My name is Jackie Kim. At just 14 years old, I immigrated to the United States and had to adapt to a new language, culture, and unfamiliar environment.

At 17, I began my first job at a small jewelry store in South Central LA. Despite the many mistakes I made along the way, my passion for gold and diamonds grew stronger each day.

From that moment on, jewelry became more than just an accessory — it became a language that helped me survive and a philosophy that gave me strength.

2. Rekindling Passion Through Hardships – Life’s Turning Points
After officially starting my gold career at 21, I launched my first jewelry business, Crown Jewelry, at 36 and successfully ran it for 7 years.

Later, in pursuit of a new challenge, I opened CJ’s Urban Cafe at 44. For 13 years, I learned the true value of communication with customers, the power of community, and the warmth of human connection.

But deep down, I always had a longing to return to jewelry — that longing never left me.
Eventually, it was that desire that brought me back to life.

In 2021, I acquired Susan Tiffany Jewelry, a business that had served its community for over 30 years, officially returning to the jewelry industry.
Then in 2023, I launched STF DIAMONDS, a brand that embraces both digital innovation and traditional craftsmanship — a new kind of jewelry brand for a new era.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Immigrating to a new country at 14 was one of the hardest experiences of my life. I didn’t speak the language, and I felt out of place everywhere I went. Every day was a challenge — from navigating school to simply understanding people. I often felt invisible or underestimated.

At 17, I started working in a small jewelry store in South Central LA. It was overwhelming. I made mistakes, learned the hard way, and had to prove myself over and over again. But I fell in love with the art of jewelry — the stories behind each piece, the way it brought people joy — and that gave me purpose.

Starting my first business at 36 came with even bigger risks. I had to juggle being a business owner, a mother, and a woman in an industry still dominated by men. There were times I nearly gave up — financially, emotionally, and physically. I worked 7 days a week, sacrificed sleep, and dealt with the constant pressure of survival.

And when I shifted into opening CJ’s Urban Cafe, it was a completely different challenge. I had to build trust from the ground up again, in a new field. But it taught me resilience, and it reconnected me with the community in a beautiful way.

The road has been anything but smooth — but I wouldn’t change a thing. Every obstacle strengthened me. Every hardship deepened my commitment. And through it all, I’ve learned this: When you build with sincerity, your story becomes your strength.
