Daily Inspiration: Meet Rafael Velazquez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rafael Velazquez.

Hi Rafael, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We’ve been a band in the LA Scene for Almost 15 years. We we’re in different bands before, got together, made what we have today. The Paranoias x Profesor Galactico is what we’re pushing now. 5 guys, two bands. 2 lead singers for different babds.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not a smooth road at all. Thr paranoias singer ended up getting a driving job after 18 years. So his life is busy. One of us had a baby as well. Things have been good for us in Real Life. This is the first time we have to figure out the band “second”.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We make feel good music. No genre. No specifics. We just do what we want and what we can.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Los angeles is all about unity. You can see it everywhere. Whether its here in south central, where i live, or if its in where people are being taken away. We still feel that.
