Today we’d like to introduce you to April Holland.
Hi April, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Trixie B Cosmetics back in 2013. I was starting out as a photographer and as my clients were getting the glam done, I noticed that some Make up artists had so many different brands of cosmetics in one case. I decided that I was going to work with a company that was socially responsible, hypo-allergnic,cruelty-free, great for all skin types and have one go to manufacturer. After awhile I ventured into the fashion world as my grandmother was a designer back on the 1950’s. I got the creative bug and decided to not only have a career in fashion, but creating a cosmetic brand that I can be proud of. I thought to myself, I need to do even better than that! We at Trixie B Comstics can give back to women in need whether that be free samples for women going back into the work force and want to look nice , or even better giving a scholarship or donation for women who need it the most. Our motto is: BE BOLD , BE BRAVE, BE YOU!
Now we are a brand that has gained recognition in the communities and online.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Any new company has challenges, but it is better to grow your business organically and with patience. Noone wants to rush something that is their passion. The struggels I have has is coming up with money to keep growing the brand. I was patient and little by little I was able to get where I needed to be
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
