Conversations with Gary Balitskiy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Balitskiy.

Hi Gary, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Infinity Boxing is the brain child of Gary Balitskiy and Patrick Scicluna. We want to give back and cultivate a community around a central goal of learning a badass style of boxing, training hard and striving to be better than the person you were yesterday, while getting absolutely shredded in the process. Infinity Boxing is a special style of Japanese boxing crossed with a Peek-a-boo Style. The concept behind the figure 8 system in our style represents both all the angles a punch can be thrown and as a result we designed a fighting system that emphasizes ambidextrous fighting, constant movement, defending while attacking, while creating new angles for continuous combinations creating what we call perpetual motion. Once you start you do not stop.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road in entrepreneurship and a new business is never smooth and faces many struggles. Whether it is the world itself or personal hardship we face day to day we help lift one another up and push through tough times., Just like a good fight you roll with the punches and keep your chin up knowing if you keep pushing hard enough, and give it all you got – you will surely win in the end.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What sets us aside from other boxing gyms is our attention to detail and personalized attention to everyone. To train is to seek understanding and aim for mastery, everyone learns different as their coach its our duty to push everyone to what they thought was their limit and beyond that so we all continue to grow, together. Our studio is rich with experience and combined experience of over 20 years in the business before we ever opened our studio. It’s not just about what we’re teaching but also the environment we form with those around us. Our Co-founder and lead coach Gary Balitskiy credits Tadashi Yamashita and Daniel Mejia for his ability and teachings at Infinity Boxing. Daniel & Gary train with Sensei Yamashita, who is a Grand-Grand Master in Japanese Kubudo and Karate. He also created his own style Suikendo whitch translate to “Fists flow like water”. GGM Tadashi Yamashita has starred in over 25+ films including Enter the Dragon, Charles Bronson, The Octagon, American ninja and more.
