Meet Shannon Sardella Arnold of Oh To Be A Dog At Your Wedding in Pasadena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Sardella Arnold.

Shannon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Oh To Be A Dog in 2010 after working at many dog daycares in Downtown LA, Pasadena and Santa Fe New Mexico. Being an entrepreneur at heart, I wanted to bring my love of business together with my love of animals. I quit my job and began planning, after about a year, Oh To Be A Dog was born. Our mission is to give the dogs the best care and the business would follow, and it did! After some clients asked us to help with their wedding day, I realized there is a need. Oh To Be A Dog At Your Wedding was created to help people have their best friend part of their best day with no stress!

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a pretty smooth road considering how hard entrepreneurship is. The biggest struggle was in the beginning since I was a one woman show. I was out walking, marketing, bookkeeping and all other administrative tasks. Once I was able to hire some help it made things easier.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Oh To Be A Dog At Your Wedding – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Oh To Be A Dog & Oh To Be A Dog At Your Wedding does all things pet care. We provide daily walks with GPS tracking, which we have had since 2011, and of course pet sitting. We also provide care for dogs at weddings. We pick up the dog, bring them to the ceremony or reception site and drop them where they need to go. We will care for them while on location so the people getting married don’t have to worry or ask a family member to miss anything by watching the dog. We also help with photos. We come armed with squeaky toys, brush, water bowl and even a bow tie or flower collar. There are many pet care companies to pick from, however, we really are the best!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am a born and raised LA girl, The Valley to be precise. I moved to Pasadena in 2007 and love it! I love the sense of community. Of course LA has the best weather, some great people and awesome dogs. I would say the traffic is the only thing I could do without.
