Hope Jewelry Co. Opens Its Doors: Handmade Jewelry, Matcha, and Community Connection

At the heart of Hope Jewelry Co.’s weekend home studio is a desire to slow things down and bring people together through real, human connection. By pairing their handmade jewelry experience with thoughtfully crafted matcha from Me Matcha, the brand has created a warm, welcoming space where neighbors become familiar faces, conversations unfold naturally, and creativity is shared in real time. Rooted in family, craftsmanship, and care, the collaboration reflects Hope Jewelry Co.’s belief that small businesses thrive not just through products, but through community, collaboration, and genuine relationships.

Your collaboration with Me Matcha is such a unique idea! What inspired you to open your home studio on weekends and pair your handmade jewelry experience with matcha?
Opening our home studio began with a desire for real, human connection — the kind that doesn’t come from swiping, scrolling, or looking at perfectly filtered AI-generated images. We wanted to create a space where people could slow down, have real conversations, and experience something handmade and heartfelt right in front of them.

And honestly, this space has brought us unexpected joy. Because of this little studio, we’ve met neighbors we never had the chance to talk to before:

  • A quiet young man who doesn’t say much but shows up every Saturday for his matcha latte…
  • A high school student who pedals over on his bike every weekend to pick up drinks for his siblings…
  • A lovely woman who adores jewelry and keeps coming back to order custom pieces…
  • And even a beautiful multigenerational family — grandparents, parents, and kids — who stopped by, shared stories about their life in the U.S., and whose daughters spent time hanging out in our studio choosing their favorite pieces. We later discovered they had passed by our booth before when we popped up at Open Market OC, Main Place Mall. It felt like life brought us together again in the most organic, meaningful way.

And of course, this collaboration is also deeply personal. Matcha and café culture is my little sister’s passion, and bringing Me Matcha into our studio is a way for us to support her dream, too. It’s beautiful how creativity overlaps within our family — jewelry and matcha may seem different, but both are crafted with intention, care, and love.

So for us, this studio is not just a business idea. It’s a place where dreams are nurtured, where siblings encourage each other, and where community takes root. It’s about building something meaningful together and creating a space where real life, real people, and real connection matter again.

For those who haven’t visited yet, what can people expect when they stop by — from the jewelry collection to the creative atmosphere (and, of course, the matcha)?
First — they’ll get to start with our best-selling drinks: Earl Grey Matcha Latte, Banana Cream Matcha, or the Fresh Fruit Tea — all made with homemade ingredients and crafted with so much care.

While waiting for their drinks, guests can stroll through our studio and explore our handmade jewelry collection — from delicate pearls to statement pieces. They get to experience what a small handmade studio truly looks like — where pieces are crafted, where we photograph our products, and where creativity fills the room.

And lastly, people get to meet the faces behind the brands — myself, Fiona, Gloria and the heart behind Me Matcha. We chat, exchange stories, laugh, and build genuine relationships. I even love offering custom pieces for visitors who want something special made right here in the studio. It’s a space where shopping isn’t transactional — it becomes personal, joyful, and memorable.

You’ve built Hope Jewelry Co. around craftsmanship and heart. How does this partnership reflect your brand’s values and your love for community connection?
Hope Jewelry Co. has always been rooted in authenticity — real craftsmanship, real people, real conversations. This partnership reflects our belief that business should be more than a product exchange; it should nurture quality relationships and mutual support.

When two small businesses collaborate, it’s not competition — it’s community. It’s a reminder that we rise stronger when we build together. Every piece of jewelry we make and every drink served represents intention, care, and connection — and that aligns perfectly with the heart of who we are.

The videos you’ve shared online really capture the vibe — calm, creative, and welcoming. What kind of experience do you hope guests walk away with after visiting your studio?
I hope guests walk away feeling seen, heard, and connected — not just as customers, but as people. I hope they feel the calm of being in a space where creativity is alive, where conversations matter, and where handmade still matters.

More than anything, I want people to leave with a sense of belonging — a reminder that behind every small business is a human story, a dream, and a heart that’s grateful they stopped by.

As a small business owner collaborating with another local brand, what does this moment mean to you — and how do you see Hope Jewelry Co. continuing to grow through partnerships like this?
This moment symbolizes more than a collaboration — it’s a culture we hope to help grow. A culture where businesses support other businesses, where we celebrate each other, share customers, uplift talent, and build a stronger small-business community together.

We hope to continue connecting with more local businesses who share the same values — spreading love, genuine connection, and support for one another. Partnerships like this are how small dreams become shared movements, and how community becomes the heartbeat of everything we do.
