When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?

Almost everything is multisided – including the occurrences that give us pain. So, we asked some of the most enlightened folks in the community to share how they have harnessed their pain to help rather than hurt them.

I stopped using my pain and started using it as power when I finally allowed myself to dream again. For nearly ten years, I put my own dreams aside to be present for my children and meet the needs of a neurodivergent household. After months of deep, body-based work through dance with my teacher, Irma Juana. This wasn’t choreographed dance, but rather an ongoing practice of listening to the body and moving from a place of deep internal connection.
