Today’s Artist of the Day features an interview with Carson Ferri-Grant. Please find our conversation below.

Thanks for joining us and we’re so excited to have our readers learn more about you and your creative works. Kick things off for us, what should they know?
As a USA actor and artist transplanted from New England in 1970 to NYC then to LA 5 years ago, my roots are well-endowed in California soil. Creating acting roles in film, television, and stage in LA and internationally. My five new abstract painting series captures California energy in my brush strokes under the sunny warmth of our climate.

A warm fish returns to his original waters, and I cherish each moment to discover new directions for personal growth. At 73, my adventures are endless, my schedule-book open to evolving sequences.

One is unique, encouraging others to find their own special space in our creative world, working together to achieve altruist goals.

What story from your creative journey is one you think about or share often?
In the winter of 1969, I packed my bags to travel from Rhode Island to NYC in the new year to find independence in my life, to make my own choices and to discover opportunities in a creative thriving environment. Some would say NYC was a dangerous place for a nineteen-year-old from a small-town Italian-Welsh Catholic middle-class family. For me, NYC was a universal melting pot of wisdom and knowledge. A mere four-hour train ride from treelined coastlines to walls of man-made buildings, filled with the international culture of galleries, museums, broadway theaters, and Time Square celebrations, to Max’s Kansas City to Filmore East, I thrived. My eyes and mind were wide open and still are.
