Rising Stars: Meet Hazel Ortega

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hazel Ortega. Hazel and her team share their story with us below:

Hazel Ortega is a M.Ed. PSY, is a vocational expert, a successful entrepreneur, and an acclaimed public speaker for her course The Mastery of Miracles. Hazel is beloved by audiences for her ability to inspire them toward personal transformation. In her vision-casting workshops, she relates how she dreamed of the success she would have and even drew a detailed picture of the hillside Los Angeles mansion she wanted—the very mansion where she lives today. She is a proud Latina who embodies the pride and warmth of her Mexican American heritage and loves to share it with others.

There was a time, though, when Hazel could not see past her limitations. Those limitations were what she thought defined her. “When you become ‘stuck in your story,’ it becomes impossible to see things from any other perspective.”

Hazel launched Ortega Counseling Center to ensure that all injured workers in California could have the opportunity to receive the full benefits of retraining for new careers. As she sought to help others reach their potential, she reaped success on success. She also began to transform her own life and outlook—which yielded the vision-casting methodology she uses to inspire audiences today.

Then I followed my dreams and founded businesses and organizations, and I take pride in my ideas, accomplishments, and the plentiful living I have created for myself and my family.

Now, Hazel wants to use her abundance to Transform the Face of Philanthropy. Having benefitted from the Pushy Angels, she remains committed to being one herself—and lifting humanity’s tide.

With High Tide Global Inc, Hazel’s new Non-Profit – Hazel and her life partner Elbert Irving IV want to transform the world around them—and bring their knowledge and treasure to others. Already, they have spearheaded philanthropic projects in Los Angeles, Mexico, and Uganda.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

On a mission to “lift the tide of humanity,” Hazel Ortega founded High Tide Global, a nonprofit that aims to transform the face of philanthropy and uplift the lives of youth across the globe through education and many other empowering mediums.

High Tide Global wants to transform the world by molding the next generation of leaders. Today, they are taking an innovative approach to lift the tide of students’ mental health by partnering with Los Angeles schools and integrating the “Secrets to Becoming a Superhero” program into their curriculum to ensure all students are empowered with the grit and resilience needed for them to reach their dreams by helping students to tap into their inner strength and a healthier mindset.

What does success mean to you?
Success for me is to see what I am creating and working to benefit children and families – see them grow and be inspired to change their lives. Also – success for me is to inspire others to become a pillar (a Pushy Angel) to others – help create a better society. To be part of something bigger.
