Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleen Khachatourian.
Hi Aleen, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’m led by my intuition & curiosity. My path has always unfolded as a result of following that which feels aligned with whoever I am at each moment.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sometimes. The ebbs and flows come in waves and for that I’m grateful. I’ve struggled with holding onto past versions of myself that wanted to die but I was too attached to realize it was necessary for the new spaces I was discovering.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a process artist and my process is the “art” itself. Every project, job, and experience always relates back to expression; which heavily comes through in my writing. I allow my emotions the space to breathe and through the flow state, something comes out onto the page. I never know what it is and it’s actually not my business to know; I just show up to serve. That present state of being is addicting.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I think the concept of luck is a trap that lends itself to a binary way of existence. I see it as presence meeting action with a healthy dose of trusting yourself. If you are present, you are available for opportunities and with discernment, you’ll be able to recognize if something is in alignment.
