Today we’d like to introduce you to Yahne’ Coleman.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Yahne’. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out as a NBA Dancer for the Philadelphia 76ers and voted as one of the Top 100 hottest NBA Dancers. I appeared on several TV shows. I later moved to California. I created a presence as an influencer. I’m currently collaborating with some of the top clothing companies including Pretty Little Thing, Dolls Kills, Simmi Shoes etc. I love that I get to share my outings and red carpet experiences with my followers. If I inspire one person I feel I’ve made a difference.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been a journey of constant growth. My parents started me off as a Jr. 76ers Dancer. Being apart of that history really set my goals high. I trained and completed to be the best. I succeeded in going from a Jr. NBA Dancer to a Pro NBA Dancer. It’s a highly coveted job and there’s pressure to be your best. Along with that comes lots of personalities and egos.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I work with over five companies as an Influencer and Brand Ambassador. I receive clothing, hair, shoes, makeup and other items from brands and post those paid ads on my Instagram. My followers engage with me and purchase the products. I’m very dedicated to presenting the products in the best way possible which is why I been working with most of these companies for over a year. The companies I represent appreciate the quality, genuine love and appreciation of fashion to my followers. I’m proud that I was able to accomplish most of this using my personality and networking skills. I enjoy dealing with the companies directly. I feel it’s an organic connection.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My parents deserve all the credit. They got me involved in the industry at a young age. Their belief in me helped me believe in myself.
