Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Jensen.
Thanks for sharing your story with us, Veronica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out in a family of three older sisters who were all brilliant singer-performers. Taking my own path at 13 with acting and modeling… Ventured out on my own Working with many top acting coaches and great managers. Staying successful through the years I was signed to my 1st agency at 17 started doing commercials and film. Fast forward always working in the restaurant industry and hospitality industry led me to working at the famous Mirabelle on sunset. Here is where I blossomed at age 21 booking most of my work and amazing stories behind The bar leading to seven and a 1/2 years in the hot rod car industry hosting in modeling being on three different covers. To hot rod, Deluxe magazine covers and one of the only white girls featured on low rider magazine cover. Through the years during that time, I was doing 36 shows per year with my company hot rod magazine and painless performance wiring. Becoming a staple in the hot rod industry for seven and a 1/2 years producing all of my major posters and ad campaigns for seven full years.
During this time also taking hosting jobs and doing commercials and acting work for independent films. There’s so many in-depth stories to go over with how I have worked for so many legendary people in Hollywood and where it has gotten me today. There is so much to talk about in depth but I will wait to speak with you upon seeing if you like my story. In the hot rod industry for seven years, I was the head person that lead the hot rodders of tomorrow speeches. Working alongside children, especially young females working towards living their dreams… Most of my work has been meeting and greeting hundreds of thousands of people signing my posters throughout the country, making them feel special and giving them a moment to feel like a million bucks. I have produced over eight posters and designed over 16 race suits. I have cents a year ago stepped away from the hot rod industry to focus more on my acting and come back to my roots.
Currently, I am working with many charity charities I will be going to Rome at the end of this month to work with children with cancer. My next projects include a 2020 Christian dance album produced by a great producer John Gibson, my cousin. Before anything I was a singer so I am going back to my roots getting back and to theater And it’s one big adventure each year at a time. Basically, I have been many different roles through my creative expression but now that I am 33, I am finally doing what I need to do for myself. For many years I have taken care of my mother, who has been very ill; it has been the center of my attention. She is finally doing better than she has in a long time; that is why I have always stayed bartending and networking through the bar scene. I have worked with many great producers directors actors every day is a learning experience… I am thankful I am a native of Los Angeles. My journey has so many more details I hope that we could go into more.
Currently, I work for the Vintage Bar Group the last five years and I am at The Well in Hollywood. The famous mentor restaurant owners who have believed in me Mirabelle of seven years and The Well for five years Have always supported me and my Dreams and allowed me to take time off when needed for projects and Auditions. This year has been super exciting my role in a recent short film has been submitted to all the film festivals and I am waiting to hear good news. Short film call “ODIF” The goal here is to get as much exposure and enjoy the process. God gives you one life and if you have a talent live it and don’t stop at anything to live your dreams… Even if it means I have to bartend and break your back every day to support your career and family. I would love to get into the part about my early childhood and how it came to be that I 1st took the stage and all the things that came along with this journey.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road of an artist is never smooth. I don’t believe you would be an artist if it was easy. There has been many struggles but the struggles, in the end, make you who you are. I did a pilot for three years called “Chasing Fame” It documented my life for three years and got to see me have many mental breakdowns over the industry and how the business turns my stomach. But you have to keep your head up and keep going… My saying has always been you can’t outrun your destiny.
What else should our readers know?
I specialize in making people happy, putting smiles on people’s faces and leaving them with a moment of freedom from their problems… Whether that be through a character a song or a meet and greet signing… Whatever it may be what I want to be a part of is making people feel good about themselves for two seconds, making them escape and feeling like they’re important… That’s the business I’m in… It’s called entertainment. I am an entertainer… Wherever my journey leads me, it will be a selfless journey, whether being a successful Actor or not, I will always work with people on 1 to 1 level making them feel great.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am a Valley girl born in Van Nuys, California, I had to leave through my parent’s divorce at age seven and moved to Orange County California Laguna Hills area Mission Viejo… During that time, I did local playhouses talent shows and got a really great education 3 Saddleback community college. I honed my acting ability and then I move directly back to my roots the Valley by 18 To pursue acting out an extensive level doing many Programs through the Carolyn Barry workshops… I did a little college in Orange County at Saddleback community college for film and theater and theater makeup and then came directly back to Los Angeles Valley village area. I started working background work on television sets and getting small features in different roles. So I never really left LA; it was always in my heart to be here living my dreams. It is my home.
