Meet Tiffanie Holloway

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffanie Holloway.

Hi Tiffanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story begins Valentine’s Day of 2021 when my first photoshoot dropped. I was dedicated and inspired to lose weight after several tragic losses of family members following covid, as well as a terrible breakup. 2020 was a very tough year for me as I was mourning my family, as well as trying to break free from depression. During my depressed state, I gained an extreme amount of weight, almost reaching 200 lbs. Once 2021 approached, I decided it was time to start loving myself again and pouring positivity in my life. I strived for self-love, and I gave myself daily affirmations, which lead to me wanting to be my own Valentine and doing a photoshoot for myself. I lost over 20lbs, then did a Valentine’s Day shoot, which was the flame I needed to spark my confidence back and invest in only the things which brought me joy. Loving myself again has opened so many doors for me, I am forever grateful. I hope my story inspires others to love themselves and only allow positivity and growth within their lives.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My journey has been a learning experience through and through. It hasn’t necessarily been a smooth road completely, but the amount of dedication and time I’ve put in since the beginning definitely has paid off. A few struggles along the way were learning how to choose photographers and learning which events were worth my time. I learned my worth, and I learned how to network whenever I do get booked or am in the presence of important, influential beings. Walking in my first runway fashion show was definitely the toughest struggle because I had no clue what I was doing! The entire show was a learning experience for me, but I was inspired to learn everything I could and show everyone what I was capable of. I want to give a special thanks to Sheba of Model Mafia for welcoming me into the family, motivating me, and teaching me how to be the greatest model and businesswoman I possibly can.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a model, actress, host and permanent makeup artist. I have been modeling for about a year and a half now, and since I began, I have been in multiple films, music videos, tv shows, and an upcoming major movie. I am very good at improvisation, but I am able to memorize scripts as well. I have worked as a background talent for HBO “Westworld,” along with a few upcoming non-union films. I am most proud of my first-ever speaking role in the upcoming “White Men Can’t Jump” reboot, directed by Calmatic, starring Sinqua Walls and Jack Harlow. This was my most exciting experience I have had as a model/actress thus far. Another accomplishment I am proud of is working alongside Model Mafia for the past year where they have taught me the necessary skills to walk in runway fashion shows! I am known to host a lot of clubs and events. I love having fun, and I love getting the party started! I bring great energy wherever I go, and I make sure people remember me as someone who made them smile or laugh or simply brightened up their day.

What sets me apart from others is the simple fact I treat everyone as my equal. I make sure to greet everyone in the room, and I strive to make everyone feel included no matter the circumstances. I remain authentic and stay true to myself. I have my own microblading business as well, where I’m known as the “Brow Barbie.” I have been microblading eyebrows for about two years now. I was trained during quarantine and fell in love with the art of making others beautiful. What is microblading? Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that produces natural hair-like strokes with a manual tool. This is a specialized technique used to deposit pigment into the skin with needles. This sounds scary, but numbing is used to minimize pain. Compared to other techniques, microblading gives a very natural look and better simulates hair. Microblading lasts clients from 1-3 years. Combination Brows is a combination of microblading and ombre shading. This technique combines the stroking method to create “little hairs” and the shading technique for more density and colour. This look will still appear natural, but it will be darker and fuller. The shading gives the brow more body, while the hair strokes keep the brows looking natural. I am very proud of what I do and hope to continue for as long as I can. I am a traveling makeup artist, so if need be, I will come to the client directly once requested.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Michael Jordan once said, “the key to success is failure.” I agree with this statement 100% because I have applied to thousands of casting calls and out of those thousands, a handful selected me. I have been told “no” more times in my life than “yes,” and that is ok. As long as I remain dedicated and consistent, opportunities will present themselves when the time is right. There have been times where I just wanted to give up, but with the support of my friends and family, I was able to keep my drive. I thank God every day for blessing me with both parents as well as supportive friends and coworkers. I set daily goals for myself, which have allowed me to flourish. I make sure to apply to at least 10 casting calls a day, along with promoting my brow business to others.
