Meet Tien Tienngern of TIENSIRIN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tien Tienngern.

Tien, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As Lady Gaga has put it, “Baby, I was born this way.” When I was younger, I had the ability to know when something was going to happen before it actually transpired. I can sense the spiritual energy of places I’ve visited – especially haunted places. I grew up in Thailand, where mysticism and religion is very much a part of our culture and is not at all frowned upon.

As a teen, I taught myself how to read tarot cards. My buddies in Thailand were my first group of clients! I would sneak around doing readings for them in the back of our classroom, on the school bus, or wherever I found a spot to do so! They called me “Mae Mor” which means “Miss Psychic” in Thai. My dad is also a healer himself, and a very devoted Buddhist, I guess it must run in my blood!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The struggles for me weren’t really coming from the outside, it was coming from within. I struggled a lot to come to terms with my gifts. I didn’t know how to channel it properly. I was fed up with seeing ghosts and demonic spirits. I was also fed up with picking up on people’s unwanted emotions. I wanted to feel empowered and be able to use my gifts to help the living and for people who have crossed over.

My real turning point came in 2011, at that time, I was having a “dark night of the soul” moment in my life. My health, personal life, and career were at one of the lowest places they had ever been. Despite that, I did open myself up to learn how to read people’s auras through photographs, so that I could give myself a tool to bring better people into my life.

Then in 2014, one of my friends told me about a metaphysical store in my neighborhood called Liberate Emporium. I was fairly new to my neighborhood at the time. I was looking around on their website, and I stumbled upon a course created by Dr. Linda Howe on how to read Akashic records. At the time, I wasn’t even sure what it was, but I had a gut feeling that this is what I was supposed to do.

My amazing teacher and dear friend Helen Vonderhide guided me along this spiritual journey. I am now a certified Akashic Record reader, having completed multiple courses in beginning, advanced, and healing in Akashic Records.

At first, I was learning it for my own enrichment, but then it seemed to come natural to me, so I initially started to read for friends and family. Now, I’m reading it professionally for clients from all over the world!

We’d love to hear more about your business. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
The question that most people always ask me is “What exactly are Akashic Records?” The easiest way to understand what Akashic records are is that it’s basically a giant computer that stores all the stories of your life. Akashic Records was first introduced to the western world by a world famous mystic named Edgar Cayce, he was known for his ability to able to access the Akashic Records in a trance state of consciousness. Most of one’s “mystery of life questions” can be asked and answered.

However, with Dr. Howe’s method, I do not have to be in a trance state of mind, I can access your record by using your name, coupled with reciting a pathway prayer. There are no questions too big or too small to ask while in one’s Akashic Records. Your Masters, Teachers, and loved ones are there to assist you along the way! I feel honored to be able to use my gifts to help people find their way in life. I have seen people lives change and find inspiration through a reading! But I don’t see myself as someone with a superpower. I just see myself as a humble translator who helps deliver messages to those who are seeking answers.

Aside from my Akashic Records reading work, I am also a fine art photographer! I have been working on a body of work of abstract color fields, based on my impression of places and people I meet. I create the image from scratch using mixed media, and I capture them in-camera with no further digital manipulation. Each piece is unique to each frame, and it cannot be re-created. In the near future, I am planning to offer a service of creating portraits based on my impression of my client’s Akashic records. In addition to that, I already offer a service of reading people’s auras/soul’s personality through photographs.

I can say that all of my readings with my clients are all equally my proudest moments!  I feel honored to have the opportunity to meet my client’s Masters, Teachers, and loved ones in the Akashic dimensions. I am touched when their loved ones who have passed on come through their readings, and they communicate messages that were left unsaid, which brings peace and closure to the living.  I also love tapping into people’s past life readings, because that explains a lot of their current struggles, and I try to help people find ways to overcome their life’s obstacles.

Not only am I proud of the Akashic reading work I have done, I am also proud of my contribution to the entertainment industry!  My career got its jumpstart when I was in college.  At the time, I lived in Orange County without a car, and I took two trains and a bus to intern for free at New Line Cinema during their production of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The “epic quest” to Los Angeles twice a week ended up paying off!  Several years after that, I joined the Getty Images team doing coverage for every major award show, and numerous red carpet events!  I also got to work on exciting tv projects like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Hannibal, and DC Universe titles.  In addition to all of that, for the past few years, I have been working with the Coachella content team to create the overall branding of the Coachella music festival.

When I was 15 years old, I came to the US as a foreign exchange student. I would have never dreamed that I would have such amazing opportunities! I will forever be thankful for all my friends, families, and bosses that gave me a chance!

Now, I am pursuing another chapter in my career, I can’t wait to see what the Universe will bring my way!

What were you like growing up?
I was a nerd and a bit of a moody child growing up. I was picked on a bit as a kid. I was this awkward girl with curly hair. It considered ‘odd’ to have curly hair in Thailand. Being picked on a bit as a child helped me to have a lot of compassion for people and see people for who they really are beyond their appearances.

I read a lot as a kid. I especially loved novels that involved traveling and some type of adventure. I was addicted to Japanese comics. I love their romantic stories as well as their ghost stories.

I also love films!! Since my dad was the only one in my family who loved watching movies, I would watch what he enjoyed watching. Aside from Disney movies, I grew up watching all of the action, thrillers, and horror flicks. Fun fact: I had never seen ‘chick flicks’ until I was in college! The first chick flick I ever saw was “My Best Friend’s Wedding.”

I was watching it for the first time in my friend’s dorm room. In my head, I thought, “What the heck is going on here? Why is there so much talking?” Since then, I have joined the female forces and have been enjoying all the Romantic Comedies ever since.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years? Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
I feel that the population as whole are much more open to spirituality than ever before!  People have become increasingly interested in alternative healing, medicine, and spirituality.

I find Los Angeles can be a dynamic place for this. I feel that people are much more open-minded here! With a vast variety of people from different cultural backgrounds, along with individual hopes, dreams, and challenges, this makes Los Angeles a truly unique city for cultivating one’s spirituality.  I find it to be a city where you can find your own inner peace, without having to be too afraid to express yourself.  Moving forward, I do see that alternative healing and spirituality will thrive in Los Angeles.

Living in fast paced environments, with the unspoken social pressure of living in today’s world–especially in Hollywood–it’s so easy to feel lost in it all. People are seeking harmony in their lives, and it’s important to find your own spirituality to anchor yourself.  Lucky for us, some of the world’s best healers, meditation centers, or even organized religions are right here in Los Angeles!  Just like the old saying, ” Seek and ye shall find.”
