Meet the Makeup Artist Taking Sherman Oaks by Storm: Raven Pinsker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raven Pinsker.

In the past, Raven has struggled with beauty and confidence issues and used makeup as a way to hide rather than as a way to highlight her features.  However, after her formal training in makeup she started to realize she could use makeup to really bring out the beauty in herself in a more natural, non-transformative way.  Her story is one where she won over her personal struggle and now uses her talent to help other women feel more confident.  She notes, “a little boost of confidence can be life changing.”

“I had a lot of beauty issues – never thought my features were considered beautiful – so love the idea of educating women on how to bring the features they like about themselves out – to empower them without transforming them is what my career in makeup is all about.”

Raven particularly enjoys her work with brides.  “It’s such a privilege to work so close with a bride on her special day.  I try to be the presence she would want; I to be calming for her.”  We’re so impressed with her work and with her personal story.

Raven came to “Academy of Makeup & Fashion – On Set” already full of talent. We were able to fine tune her techniques and give her direction in the business of beauty. Her abilities complement her sincere love for helping others express their inner and outer beauty. You are so fortunate to have found this great artist and person!

Raven gave a make-up party for a group of “mature” women; she was absolutely compassionate, understanding, patient, and did not for one second make any of us feel anything but beautiful. She had great information, and I thought I knew all there was to know about applying make-up; I was very happy to know there was much more for me to know! Love this beautiful woman
