Meet Tasha Butcher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Butcher.

Hi Tasha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am the type of person who never lets up. I’ve started many things and every time one fails, I find something else to dive into. I never give up. One day a friend of mine told me that I needed to do something with clothes. He felt that was my lane because I dress up so effortlessly. He would always compliment me. He knew I had other talents but felt fashion was my lane. As time went by, I would always remember that conversation. Slowly but surely, I talked myself into it. I finally decided to take that leap but I wanted to set myself apart from all the other boutiques and then it hit me, let’s do something that would be more affordable for people. I thought on it a little more and came up with the concept of being able to be cute on a budget. I didn’t want to be the same over-priced boutique, there’s a million of those so I thought I could sell the same or similar items for a fraction of the price.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has been the bumpiest rode ever! Owning a business and/ or being an entrepreneur is not for the faint at heart. What I must say is, it is true that experience is the best teacher. Every time I fail at something, I learn something from it. The road has been rough, I’ve lost so much time and money trying to find my lane in this world of business. Today, I’m more wise, more aggressive, more confident, but most of all, I’m more excited than I’ve ever been.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in selling beautiful clothes at an affordable price. Everything in my store is below forty dollars and always will be. I am most proud that I have finally found something that is enjoyable and beneficial to my audience. I find the cutest pieces for the best prices and keep the consumer prices as low as possible. I want people to always feel like they are getting a deal.

What’s next?
Plans for the future? Hmmm… I plan to venture off deeper into the fashion industry. I’ve thought of starting a clothing line but it doesn’t quite sit well with me yet lol… I’ve also thought of teaching the youth about fashion do’s and dont’s lol… I’m not quite sure yet but I know this is just my beginning and the sky’s the limit.
