Meet Stacia Mac of ODA (Only Dreams Achieve) Management

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacia Mac.

Stacia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Being a Chicago native, I am a self-proclaimed hustler. I’ve learned to quickly adapt and be ready for any obstacle. With my background initially in property management, I had built a practical lifestyle for my family. When my eldest son ‘Polo G’ expressed his aspirations of becoming a rapper, I knew it was imperative not only to support his decision but to make it a reality. So said, so done. I myself took on the role of his full-time manager. With the help from a legal counsel, I constructed, negotiated, and finalized Polo’s label deal with Columbia Records. I’ve created a quality brand in eight months with Polo’s debut album DIE A LEGEND peaking as #1 on Billboard’s rap album charts. DIE A LEGEND also boasts a double-platinum track (Pop out ft Lil Tjay) and Finer Things” thats RIAA certified gold. I worked relentlessly to ensure my drive matched his drive and ambitions. I vowed to myself to be the best entertainment manager I could be, not only for my son but as an example to women and mothers that you can do it all.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. Of course, being a woman in a male-dominated industry, you are sometimes overlooked and doubted. I was determined to hold my own amongst my peers and excel. A rule for myself is I only ask once if the answer is “no”, I take another direction or make another way.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am the CEO of ODA Management. ODA “Only Dreamers Achieve” Management is a management agency for talented young creatives. I’d like to think of it as a safe space; as there are no limits to client innovations. Outside of entertainers, we manage all talents; Photographers, artists and beauty influencers. We are about aiding talents helping them rise and navigate to their full potential. We are proud that in less than a year we have seen our clients reach their goals; whether it’s been signing to a major label, or selling out their brand, seeing our clients succeed is success in itself.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up in a large family. I am the eldest of five siblings. Personality-wise I was always the bossy sibling. Wanting things to be “just so”. There was also a softer, fun-loving side to me. This would peak during family bonding times. Everyone in my home was talented and artistic. Drawing, acting, singing and sewing clothing were commonplace. I always felt my career path would tie into music or fashion. I can recall my mother sewing my sisters and I costumes and having makeshift fashion shows. Those are my fondest childhood memories.

If you had to start over what would you have done differently?
I wouldn’t change a thing. Every situation, every moment prepared me for this day and this journey.
