Meet Shimira Cole of Social Girl Studios in Downtown Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shimira Cole.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Shimira. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started creating businesses and writing short stories at a young age, but I never knew that I’d be an author and own a marketing agency one day. I love storytelling and helping businesses redefine new marketing strategies. I started as a producer and director in Virginia Beach, VA. I wrote/directed a pilot called Why We Pray and created a short film called HEAR MY SON which shot in London, UK.

I moved to Los Angeles, CA and I quickly got lost in the hustle and bustle of networking and job hunting. I’ve worked at some incredible production companies as a television and film development assistant and worked as a digital media producer. However, I felt something was missing. This led me to start a life-after-college blog.

Blogging introduced me to the online world of e-commerce combined with storytelling. I wrote and published the first book of my fiction series, THE REVELATION BEGINS; Three aspiring bit scientists discover a glowing tree in Israel, steals it, and find out years later that the tree is the first symbol of The Revelation of Christ.

Writing helped me create a narrative for my clients’ business. Whether if they are undergoing a rebranding, want to gain more four or five star reviews, or need help getting their storefront business online, my company, Social Girl Studios, write email campaigns, help businesses obtain four or five star reviews online, maintain social media engagement and posting, and much more!

Looking back, my work experience prepared me for writing and entrepreneurship!

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting my own business and writing was difficult, but I’ve learned to set a strict schedule throughout the week.
