Meet Sebastien Lagree of Lagree Fitness in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastien Lagree.

Sebastien, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue acting. Once in LA, I became a personal trainer to support the acting; but, to my surprise, the personal training took off almost immediately. I decided to give it more attention and, within a few months, I was teaching full time, started to get noticed by the media, and attracted celebrities and top athletes. In the past 20 years, the success has helped me to forge a new fitness method which I license over 300 studios worldwide. I also became an inventor by necessity. I currently hold 40 patents including a patent on the workout. I have created many unique fitness equipment that have helped over a million people to get in shape.

Today, I continue developing new fitness machines and methods and continue to expand globally.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, nothing has been smooth but it is BECAUSE of the difficulties that I made some major breakthroughs. So the struggles are always worth it in the end.

Please tell us about Lagree Fitness.
Well, I am the founder and CEO of Lagree Fitness. My background is bodybuilding. I do have an MBA, but I learned to become a businessman. I do mostly research and development which is the part I like the most. I’m known for being a fitness inventor and visionary. I def approach fitness from a different perspective and my equipment is a reflection of that: It’s new, unique, and authentic.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would not be where I am today if not for the same journey, so I would not change anything. I keep the good and the bad.
