Meet Scharrell Jackson of Leadership In Heels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scharrell Jackson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Scharrell. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Leadership in Heels was started because I believe that if you have one person in your life then you have the power of influence and if you have the power of influence then you are a leader. Being an African American woman, COO, CFO and partner of a CPA Firm in Orange County I’ve faced a number of adversities. I believe that women need to be encouraged to rise above the adversity and use their power to influence others and strive to be outstanding leaders! I also believe that as leaders we have a responsibility to bring another leader with us and support those who cannot support themselves. As a result of this, LIH highlights a woman in business and donates a portion of the net proceeds to a non-profit!

Leadership in Heels is for women by women for the sole purpose of making a difference in a woman’s life! As a woman who strives to use my life to make a difference in the lives of others I believe that authenticity is inspiring and motivates others to be comfortable with who they are, as they strive to be the ultimate leader.

We address topics that stimulate the mind, penetrate the heart and provide tangible tools to pivot your life forward!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has been far from smooth. I’ve struggled with finding my space and comfort, being a female leader in a male dominated environment, coupled with being an African American woman in south Orange County. I’ve learn s to be comfortable being uncomfortable and to embrace who I am and what I have to offer.

Being different and challenged for who I am and how I communicate, or judged because I am different has forced me to be an over achiever.

It took great strength and humility and I had to lean in on my strengths, work through my insecurities and accept who I am.

The road has been challenging, but extremely rewarding.

As a single mom for 14 years I’m proud of my accomplishments, in spite of the challenges!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
What sets Leadership in Heels apart is that it is the real deal. We are NOT your typical speaker series! LIH is an authentic environment offering and experience like no other event.

At each event, we have speakers or panelist who are dynamic, motivating, inspiring and equipped to speak knowledge into the hearts and minds of the attendees.

These sold out events create laughter, tears and Aha moments that last! Each attendee is not only inspired but walks away changed not only for oneself but equipped to take another person who inspires to grow to the next level!

What sets us apart is that LIH is the real deal, the talk of the town! This sold out series is the talk of OC!

What were you like growing up?
As a child, I felt unwanted. With that said I became an over achiever. Striving to be wanted and accepted. I was an academic and did well in school, for the most part was well behaved! Yet I never felt accepted by others! I was constantly threatened by others for my success in school and I wanted to please others. I strived for acceptance and although I appeared successful, my self-esteem was low. I was wise before my time, smart and made for success. But it took a great deal of challenges for me to realize my destiny.
