Today we’d like to introduce you to Santee Wilson.
Hi Santee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started hearing and interacting with Spirit and my Higher Self at a young age. I was always told it was my imagination, but the visions and experiences were so profound and real, I just had to research and investigate. In the ’90s we didn’t have the internet so into the library I went! I started looking for anything non-fiction on ghosts, hauntings, etc., anything that related to what I was experiencing. I didn’t find much but I did find just enough to make sure that I was not in danger, and I was very protected. Fast forward into my teenage years and you could still find me in the library gathering anything on ghosts, near-death experiences, religion, psychics aaand astrology! This opened my eyes to meditation and healing myself and that there IS something more than the eyes can see. I also received my first card reading at the age of 15. The woman read Sacred Path Cards which were geared towards Native American teachings. This resonated with me DEEPLY as I would also receive messages from Spirit through visions, animals, insects, etc. I started reading Medicine Cards at the age of 16 which are also Native American influenced and continue to do so today. I am so drawn to the more natural and holistic ways to heal that I decided to study massage therapy in 2005. Upon graduating in 2006 I was able to share my intuitive gifts as a Massage Therapist. I received a wonderful opportunity a was able to live in Toluca, Edo. de Mexico in 2007. There I was introduced to the study of Kabballah, Tarot, Yoga, Astrology and so much more! I returned back to the United States in 2010/2011 and found a Reiki Master that I was able to study under all the while learning Energy Healing and obtaining my Reiki Master Certification. I was contracted out of some spas and would see clients on the side, integrating Intuitive Medicine Card/Energy Readings, Massage Therapy, and Reiki all in one session. In 2018 I finally decided to put all my focus into my own practice as an entrepreneur and so Mama Santee’s House was born!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur is definitely a challenge! Having to wear many hats is a never-ending learning process! There are many things that are challenging for me like: the books, marketing, finding the right platform to market on (lol), managing time so I’m not constantly working. Trial and error with the testing stage. How much time things actually take. It’s like a journey through a mountainous range. Lots of various terrain to truck through. Having that backpack full of tools for the trip is necessity. Knowing when to rest is imperative. I have to bring myself present a lot to see how far I’ve come as well as keeping things simple and an eye on the main goal. I have found that making a lot of small doable goals keeps the morale high and motivation going. Another big help is to have a community of supporters who are like-minded and entrepreneurs as well because they completely understand that there is crying in entrepreneurship! LOL!!! My family has been the most caring and super supporters because they are the reason why I decided to jump into owning a business. Family is super important and being the boss does give me the mobility to rearrange schedules providing me availability to be here for them when needed. It is definitely a never-ending journey, but I feel so blessed to be in business providing retail and services that are of value and I have a passion for! Throughout this journey, I cry happy tears, frustration tears, sad tears but at the end of the day, I am very grateful for this path!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an Intuitive Healer and specialize in working with One’s Higher Self and Spirit to communicate and bring to light what they already know but think is hidden. I utilize my connection to Spirit to help One heal themself while conducting a combination of healing modalities like reiki/energy healing, massage, and divination tools. I assist One to light their own way in what they thought to be darkness. I hold space in a safe way for One to receive their messages needed to feel whole and confident in life. I love and am honored that I have the ability to have and hold such a safe space where everyone can breathe freely, feel comforted, and comfortable to be able to let go and release what no longer serves them. Mama Santee’s House is what home REALLY feels like. We are unique. We are one. We are of the Earth and the Universe. We are LOVE. I finally took that “leap of faith” and opened a brick and mortar. Mama Santee’s House is an alternative healing center where all can come to heal and balance mind, body, and spirit through intuitive treatments like massage, reiki/energy healing, card readings, meditations, and more! Here we offer a holistic approach to healing oneself by also providing workshops and retail like crystals, organic oils, supplements, intention candles, etc. I personally use everything that is sold in the shop to heal myself and stay healthy. We assist people as young as 8 years old as well! It is my mission to remind everyone that we have the power to heal ourselves and all of the healers in the world only ASSIST us in doing so! I am so excited that we as a collective are realizing that we are shifting and raising our vibration! Our motto is Heal Yourself, Heal the World because all healing begins within! Life is a journey, and the journey is a dance!!!
What are your plans for the future?
Our first big but smaller goal is obtaining a bigger facility to host more people in workshops and meditation. Our space now is cozier and more intimate but nothing less than magical. We would also love a bigger space to where we can hold moving meditations, especially for kids!!! Our next goal is to have multiple “Houses” (healing centers) throughout the US. We’d like our headquarters to be a retreat center on some land where we can house multiple guests for an extended stay. This will allow us to offer intensive and consistent treatment sessions while myself and other healers assist each person individually with more profound personal healing. Here at our House of Healing headquarters, we would be providing community with group meditation and workshops. This holistic approach will allow each person to heal, release, reset, rejuvenate and feel more confident in living this way as a lifestyle and not just a hobby or fad. Having multiple locations throughout the country would spread awareness and grow our healing family. THEN IT’S INTERNATIONAL BABY!!!
