Meet Ryan “Q” Quast of Q Loves You in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan “Q” Quast.

Ryan Quast (Pronounced KWAHST) or “Q” as his friends call him, is the Founder/President of Q Loves You, Inc. After 29 years in the hospitality world, a series of life-changing events occurred. This culminated with his sister Angela’s recent battle with Breast Cancer. Q’s view on life changed and caused him to shed the old life and create a new one. His path is now wherever he is led. What he has found so far is a path filled with self-discovery, faith, philanthropy AND entertainment. He was guided to create his brand, Q Loves You, Inc., and most recently, the Band of Angels LA charity event/concert which benefited Susan G. Komen LA County Affiliate for breast cancer research held on October 13th @ the Avalon Hollywood.

Has it been a smooth road?
I believe it is all in one’s mentality. What others view as struggles, I view as lessons. Certainly, the path has not been paved in gold, but the outcome of Q Loves You’s first event, Midas-fully turned all hearts in the room to gold. My faith in the universe’s reciprocal nature molds my mentality to align with positive thoughts. In doing so, the divine choreography is a beautiful dance with different paces and moves. But you have to want to hear the music.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Q Loves You story. Tell us more about the business.
I love all forms of artistry and its creatives, along with philanthropy. So I fused them together into one body, heart, mind and soul to form Q Loves You, Inc. This is indicative of the companies logo. QLY’s vision is to open minds through the creative process via a philanthropic soul with the heart pumping blood to and from it, allowing the body of work to thrive. The blood out, is my love and respect for the arts and people. The blood in, is the gathering of individuals to enjoy the arts and each other, as one. True synergy. With every event, QLY will work with different charities to raise money. This beautiful idea was born out of tragedy with my sisters diagnosis of Breast Cancer and grew to become our first official event, Band of Angels LA. It was a truly healing evening that validates my purposeful vision and inspires me to continually create.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the current state of the world, we have never been more connected yet never more lonely. I find that people are beginning to yearn for community in every sense of the word. People want to disconnect and frolic in the grass, but society has constructed walls to separate and discourage this. We are to the point that children don’t even understand what it is to go OUTSIDE and play. Energy from direct human interaction is the key to transcend this funk we are in. That is why Q Loves You, Inc.’s motto is: “Bridging gaps one dot at a time.” It’s one big picture.
