Today we’d like to introduce you to Rohit Govardhanam.
Rohit, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a passionate filmmaker known for producing Corporate Commercials, Ad films, Animation Ads, web series and several Short films. I pursued Film making from UCLA.
Back home, I was a computer science (software) Engineer because my passion was always towards films. I flew all the way from India to pursue my dream in filmmaking. My key interests are Producing, Directing & script writing. I always want to make films which throws an impact on the audience watching it.
So, I prefer making message oriented films. Alongside with the wow factor movies. I worked with many big names like Snoop Dogg, Akon, Milo Gibson, etc and many others. I’m a dreamer and an avid follower of James Cameron.
Just like how he made his dream into a film ‘The Terminator’ the same way, the day I make my dreams into films, I’m a Successful Filmmaker.
Hope I’ll soon see my name alongside the stalwarts in the industry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Coming from a conservative, discipline educated family. Convincing on taking a whole new turn to my life on choosing my career which they never heard off and leaving the most secured life back home to achieve my dreams was the biggest challenge.

I started when I graduated and on my OPT. (Optional practical training). It was just me first now. I have a huge network of talented people who are always willing to be part of it when needed. We specialize in providing great concepts, creativity and the best quality for a better price than the market.
Govardhanam Films focuses on innovative concepts with a fresh approach. The combined experience of the in-house team covers Ad Film making, Commercials, Music videos, Animations, award-winning Short films, and live events.
The company consists of three departments: Animation, live-action production, and post-production (editorial, visual effects, sound mix). All our departments work with great collaboration and strive to fulfill our client’s requirements. We satisfy them by providing professional work with best quality within the budget assigned
What were you like growing up?
My interests were always for films. Though I was a software engineer, I used to think on how to imply these studies to my film career. It was a hustle for me to get this far, but I always love it because I’m in it to win it.
