Meet Rita Kealey of Events Boutique LA in Sherman Oaks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rita Kealey.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began working as an assistant to the founder of Events Boutique LA when I was 18 years old and going to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I quickly fell in love with the wedding and special events industry. My interest grew into a passion and I never left the company. Five years down the road I became a partner and grew my business and clientele list. We are proud to say that we have collectively coordinated and produced hundreds of weddings all over California and several abroad. We love diving into different cultural backgrounds and infusing those traditions into our events. We strive to make each event unique and personal to our clients. Their happiness is our success.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fortunately, overall it has been a smooth road. There have been some bumps in the road filled with anxiety and nerves but it helps us strive to do better, grown and learn. The events industry has had a major shift and expansion since the growth of social media and online merchandise. It has been extremely helpful and become more competitive.

Events Boutique is an award-winning Southern California based Event Design, Coordination and Production company where creativity and vision know no limits. With over 15 years in the industry, our passion is in the process, creating an exclusive experience for our clientele from the initial stages of dreaming up concepts to event culmination. Our extensive list of vendors beautifully weaves their trades together under our direction, providing a unique opportunity for personalized expression. Our professional production expertise is complemented by a keen eye for design, which highlights each client’s personality in order to curate a stunning and unforgettable event.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Eating chocolate ice cream and swimming all day long during the summertime.
