Raj, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hi. Yes I can walk you thru my story. First off Thank you for your time, all of the reader’s time and get ready for a interesting ride with my story.
As far as music my 1st CD I put out independently landed six songs in 2007 on Napster’s coveted top 20 chart beating out songs on that list featuring, 2Pac, Rob Zombie & Slug from Atmosphere.
My current location where I reside in is LIFE CELEBRATION CITY lol. I don’t want this to be about just my region or coast but a Universal appeal all can relate to. That’s my mind state. Learning, growing, being inspired by others while also inspiring people.

I can tell you I’ve been fortunate to work with many music & entertainment legends. I’m a humble guy that’s an artist, producer, multi-talented entertainer that can write & perform in almost every genre of music, film, t.v, etc. and books. (Check my current independent CD: TRUTH BE TOLD: “you won’t be dissapointed”) on all digital platforms and select stores. (NEW EP coming very soon…)
I have a unique business mind. I write, produce, model, direct, photography, shoot videos, edit, I raised two kids as a two-time teenage single dad, I’m spiritual, I have 2 degrees, & working towards getting my masters for occupational therapy. I helped win multiple state championships in basketball during h.s & college, I was an all-state player & more. Still, love dunking tho I rarely play basketball these days.
One of the most fulfilling things I do is working with Autism & Asperger kids as well as at-risk youth. That’s priceless or I should say they are priceless.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Is life ever a smooth road and really why would we like it to be. I’m thankful for each season and journey I’ve seen in my life. Some were lessons some were blessings but they all helped me to grow.
What were some of the challenges or struggles along the way. Hmm, I would say me being transparent and authentic. I look at the big picture not just for myself but others. Sometimes that may not always be the best method especially in shrewd business.
I believe tho Integrity gets you multiple opportunities because people are willing to trust you no matter if they hear things that don’t add up to your demeanor or actions. It gives you a opportunity to build a strong foundation, rebuild one if need be, reinvent or enhance yourself and product to be consumed and accepted as quality.
Currently I’m creating a production entity full of entertainment. It encompasses more than just music but film, opportunities, children’s books and hopefully a platform where I can help others get even bigger than me after I get to where I need to be. Sort of paying it forward. I don’t feel like divulging all I’m working on but I can tell you I’m working on 8 EP’s right now. Different genres that’s great quality with upcoming visuals.
Check my Instagram the proof is in the pudding. I do it from the core, from the spirit. Driven, hard work, research, critique and a honesty with myself to keep growing as well as learning. I appreciate my life and others. We all have a gift.
Whether these projects shine on a big platform or smaller scale depends on the tools, who I team up with and the opportunities afforded to help make it grandiose. That means investing wisely. I strategize and research always. There is a way to maximize worth, dollars, opportunities, and exposure without compromising quality or spending unnecessarily to benefit both the producer and the consumer to create a unique exceptional experience.
My job is to do the work and with the right pieces thankfully display my skills & model it worldwide. It’s all about being quality first with a little, so it doesn’t matter when it’s big. It’s like shooting a thousand or more shots in the gym and repetition. Working on different moves and your craft where few can see. Winning by yourself, sacrificing, misses, makes, then showcasing and winning at a little scale, so even on a bigger scale it doesn’t matter it’s like second nature, just a bigger audience to shine with.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I specialize in making quality music. I specialize in providing quality shows. Great entertainment. Making others feel appreciated. Building a path to success. That means first building yourself up internally. I do it thru faith, learning from mistakes, joy, and accomplishments. The ability to learn from others, be able to critique myself and accept others critique.
I know I’m being vague about my business but here it goes. You can expect my new EP to release soon. “Raj Hills: King of the Puppet Masters”. Video’s and visual will be released. The Name of my company is “CAPTGER”.
What sets me apart from others is I’m truly unique. If you check out my music & Instagram you will probably say why hasn’t he completely excelled into the mainstream. I would say thank you. With my faith and focus, believe this when I tell you the best has yet to come. You never heard music like I’m releasing now and my performing skills wait till you see what’s in store. Please keep following is all I can ask, I won’t disappoint.
I’m cooking up something special and a lot of it is already complete. I bring you quality no filter, no restraint, where no matter what type or genre of music you enjoy I can cater to it. Not where it sounds generic but touches your inner being. Your soul.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is my mom not giving up on me. Both of my parents for that matter. I think that helped me learn to appreciate life and all walks of life. Like I’m at peace whether I’m in the spotlight or not. Whether I work what’s considered a normal job or one in the spotlight.
Money has never made me, but I’ve always known how to get to it. My family taught me to be a businessman and wise hustler from kindergarten The ability to create and keep a strong foundation. Explore, be of good integrity, and persevere. Know that love accompanied with wisdom is one of the strongest tools a person can ever hold.
