Today we’d like to introduce you to Raisa Sendrovich.
Raisa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was growing up, there was no such job as a Social Media Marketer, so I had no idea that having a childhood love with the entertainment industry would lead to something actually so integral to celebrities and stars in music, fashion and Hollywood. As a kid, I went to all the concerts and watched every award show. I dreamt of being backstage with *NSYNC and interviewing Leonardo DiCaprio on the red carpet. I took dance for 17 years to keep my options open to being a back-up dancer for Britney Spears and The Spice Girls. And I was a total fashionista shopper and had thought of having my own line of designer clothing being unveiled at fashion week in New York City or Paris. At first, fashion won out and I even majored in fashion at Florida State University.
While in school, I still kept my other dreams alive by taking on virtual internships at record labels, online boutiques and a well-known radio station in South Florida. I even received credit for an internship at a well-known Hollywood gossip website in New York. Celebrity blogs got me on the fringes of the entertainment industry, but I wanted to be closer to the celebrities. Once I graduated, I did a ton of freelance work which snowballed into my very own social media business. Within three months of opening my business doors, I landed my first celebrity! That was eight years ago…and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. I have worked with musicians, actors, and legends. And I am so happy that I have maintained that first Grammy-Award winning client after all these years. I get to do what most people only dream of. Sometimes, even I have to pinch myself!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road? Is there such a thing? I believe that everyone has to go through some sort of bump in the road–whether it’s big or small. Learning to make time for nurturing your business while working with high profile clients has been my biggest struggle. I find that I am so focused on getting them their results that I find that I have put my business on the back burner. The challenge is finding that sweet-spot when everyone is receiving the results they’ve dreamed of and everyone’s business is flourishing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My company, Candidly Social, is not just your average Social Media Management and Marketing Business. I help bold entertainers get an epic social brand presence. No fluff or B.S. just straight-up exposure using your authentic social vibe. I’m known for helping up and coming and high-profile entertainers brand their social media and increase their engagement and followers. I’m different from all of the other social media companies because I create custom packages for each client rather than paying for a pre-made package with items you may not need.
What’s next?
Right now, during the pandemic, everyone is a bit lost on how to keep their social media momentum going and online visibility is the only way celebrities are being seen. I have been offering prospective, former and current clients one-hour Power Hours where we strategize how they can leverage their current status and make it bigger, bolder, and beyond their wildest dreams!
