Meet Parris Gray of Shopparrisworld

Today we’d like to introduce you to Parris Gray.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Parris. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Ever since I was little, I always had many dreams, I always knew that I wanted to create things in this world and that I wouldn’t have a limit on myself, dreams or my desires. So already from a young age, I was able to take that mentality and grow it a slow direction that has led me where I am today. I am 21 one an so far, I have already accomplished so much. Not only am I a full-time college student at Cal State Northridge studying to be an elementary school teacher, but I also have a business where I sell clothes, accessories, mink eyelashes, make my own vegan lip gloss and now currently my own nail polish line. When I’m not creating for my business I’m creating for my YouTube channel that I recently started, and when I’m not doing that I’m also helping the world in ways like giving back to my community and doing events holding the title as Miss Belize California. I always describe myself to be this barbie that when she changes her clothes she changes her careers. I am going on my journey fearless and doing whatever it is my heart desires.

Has it been a smooth road?
Growing up in South Central Los Angeles has never been easy, but just like with anything else, At some point in our lives we go through many rough patches. But through the hard times, I’ve humbly learn to consciously see the beauty within the struggle like we all have I have had my fair share of pain, doubts, and many let downs. This are actually recurring moments that we go through in life, however it’s up to us to make that change and be that change within ourselves to do better and want better and to believe in the beauty of our dreams and goals. I can proudly say my surroundings and experiences is what taught me unforgettable life lessons and is what also shaped me to be a beautiful, smart, independent young black women of relevance today. My goals are what gives me strength to keep fighting each and every day.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Shopparrisworld – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
My business is an online boutique, it started in July of this last past summer. I had always wanted to start a business but I could never just pick one designated item I wanted it to be based on. One day I was just brainstorming writing down all the things I like from websites and what I wanted on my own. I just decided that I didn’t want to choose and I could incorporate all if my ideas somehow and someway. So it resulted in becoming “SHOPPARRISWORLD.COM” an online boutique where you can find clothes, mink lashes, homemade vegan lip gloss, accessories, and now recently launching my new nail polish line that coming out before Valentine’s days. My website is known for the lashes and the lip gloss, I think the clothes are a little bit harder just because of the sizes that they run in and maybe the styles I have available, not to say the clothes hasn’t been selling it’s just there are some things more popular than others. I am most proud about sticking to my word about creating a business even though it hasn’t been easy I’m just so glad I didn’t give up. What sets me apart from other business because not only did I make my business from pure love, but I also based my business to cater to my fans and my followers while still catering to myself and having my fans and followers get a glimpse of me and my style. My lip products are not just bought wholesale. It took me a couple of weeks to gather the right formula that isn’t chemically harmful and is pure and cruelty-free. I value my costumers, I make everything reasonable, and I’m always offering deals.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like the most of our city is when our city comes together, it this type of universal love that I feel that comforts me in thinking their hope for our community and nation and our generation. The thing I like least about our city is the amount of creativity and talent that are city hold is a huge abundance full of greatness! and it just hurts my soul to see good talent, creativity, thoughts, go to waste. I think if somehow our community could believe in themselves vs thinking they need a source to believe in then we can actually make a difference in some way.
