Today we’d like to introduce you to Nickie Jean.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nickie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I sat in my first Kambo ceremony a few years ago and it completely changed my life path. I was deep into my music career while also hosting reiki healing and Tantra workshops, but I still had my main focus on music. One of the beautiful things about Kambo is that it helps you align to your higher self.
Naturally, that shifted me to walk away from the arts and dedicate myself fully to healing ceremonies. I watched my body heal itself from severe stomach issues that had been a life long struggle, as well as found myself more connected to soul and spirit like never before. I knew I was being called to serve this medicine to myself and to share this opportunity for healing with others. I felt that if I was to be serving this sacred Kambo, I needed to go and be with the tribes to learn one on one. That’s when I decided to join a group and go down into the Amazon jungle of Peru to be initiated by the Matsés tribe in 2018. It is an honor to share the knowledge from the tribe to those able to sit with me in ceremony today. The experience of living with them and learning from them still continues to carry me in my journey to self-healing and appreciation for life.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Kambo itself is not an easy road to take. There is about a ten to fifteen minute window of purging so that your lymphatic system can release the toxins from your body. While being initiated by the tribe we had to meet down by the river each morning at 7am to be served the medicine by the elders. Going through such an intense releasing day after day forced me to activate my warrior spirit to complete the education. I can still feel my warrior inside and am grateful for the experience. Especially because it allows me to hold space for others to heal and share this medicine. It is an honor to be able to share the knowledge and jungle magic from the Matsés people.
Please tell us about EarthBound Enchantment / Kambo Kulture.
EarthBound Enchantment started in 2017 when I began to host reiki healing ceremonies and guided Tantra healing. I was hosting workshops as well for Tantra at the time that I sat in my first Kambo ceremony. After I started sitting more with Kambo, I decided to go to Peru so I could also add it to my services at EarthBound Enchantment. I began Kambo Kulture Instagram page so that people can learn and connect more with Kambo.
Reiki is an energetic healing originating in Japan, Tantra is a guideline of energetic healing of the physical body/energy body from Tibet and Nepal as well as South and East Asia, and Kambo is a sacred medicine from the jungles of Brazil, Peru, and Colombia. Because I host healing modalities from all over the world, I decided to call my temple a Mystery School, the Askanda Natha Mystery School. Askanda Natha means ascended master in ancient Sanskrit.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would not change a thing because I feel like if so then my life would not be as it is today 🙂
