Meet Morgan Ariana Coffey of Morganize Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Ariana Coffey.

Morgan Ariana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started in 2009 when my friend Aaron gave me his Fujifilm point and shot. Never thought I’d be here with a Canon in my hand today.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a long road full of ups and downs. At one point, I had given up on photography and kinda myself. Just settled for a coffee job and a college life and life quickly taught me that a simple life is not the one for me. I love being a freelance photographer. Although there are many struggles like booking your own clients, being your own accountant and most of the time your own bodyguard! But the risk is so worth the reward. I love being able to capture the world how I want to, work with beautifully talented people & be respected for my art. Now I work at Dash Radio, I shoot for Thunder Gaming LA and just was published on Nakid Magazine.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a freelance photographer that honestly has no specialty. That’s my specialty. Honestly, media coverage is my deal. From fashion shows to raves to art galleries; I like to make sure that if you didn’t get to go to the event, you feel like you did through my footage. I want to say it’s a combination of BIG Libra energy and consistency to match that sets me apart from others because I’m honestly not that impressive. 😂

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
RELIABILITY! If I tell you I’m going to be there then I will be there. Some days it’s hard w anxiety and sometimes not even a bus pass to get to a gig you’re not sure you’re gonna get paid for but you have to keep your word. No matter what. I’m trying to get better at being human too though. I have to stop beating myself up when I cannot make it in the same breath.
