Today we’d like to introduce you to Miguel Benitez.
Miguel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was at an art/photography gallery and I fell in love the photographs of the artist and he inspired me to start taking pictures and enrolled in photography classes.
Let’s go backward a bit – can you tell us about the most trying time in your career?
I had just gotten a new camera because my current camera was acting up and my new camera was stolen from my car at a gas station. There was nothing I can do because the person that stole my camera was gone by the time I had noticed it was stolen.
What about “Wow-moments” – any moments that stick out? Any moments when you felt like you had made it?
When I started shooting for agencies is when I felt proud because my work was up to their standards.
