Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Glogovac.
Michelle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 2018, I left an 18 years career in corporate aviation on a journey to discover what my passion and purpose was in the business world. My ultimate goal was to work for myself, travel less for business and be home with my young children. A girlfriend of mine added me into a Facebook group in which the life & business coach who was running it was just launching a podcast. This was in September 2018 and I didn’t even know how to listen to a podcast on my phone!
I instantly fell in love with the premise that we all have a passion in life that we need to discover and we just need to do the work to figure out what it is. I listened to this particular podcast religiously and a few months later, the host asked if I would like to start pitching her to be interviewed on other podcasts. It was then that I fell in love with the podcasting industry.
I launched my business, The MSL Collective, a full-service podcasting and PR agency in 2019 and now produce multiple podcasts, represent multiple clients and launched my own podcast, My Simplified Life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Pivoting from an aviation career with an education in law to the podcasting industry was definitely a big change and learning curve. I would say the biggest struggle was in not only educating myself on all areas of podcasting but in creating new relationships in a new industry as well. PR is all about relationships and so is sales, therefore when you’ve spent almost two decades in a specific industry, you know people. Moving to a new industry where I was an unknown simply meant that I needed to create and nurture relationships from scratch. It’s definitely doable though and I’m proof of that!

The MSL Collective is a full-service podcasting and PR agency. We specialize in all things podcasting and my personal specialty is in working with clients on niching down on their expert speaking topics and identifying not only what sets them apart from others in their field, but also ensuring that what they want to be known for is represented to the rest of the world.
As I’ve said, PR is all about relationships and I’m very proud of the relationships I have created and maintained within the podcasting industry. I’m able to leverage these relationships in order to land my client’s interviews on well-known podcasts and in a lot of cases, bypass the need for an official pitch. I am known as THE Podcast Matchmaker because of my ability to match hosts and guests so accurately. I personalize every pitch that goes out and also listen to every podcast that is pitched to, that’s not something that all agents do.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to the launch of my podcast course in collaboration with another podcaster in August. We have put together the most detailed course to help people not only launch their podcast on their own but to create content and build a community around it.
My plans for the future are to continue building and growing The MSL Collective and to spread the messages, expertise, and stories of my clients because they need to be heard by others.
