Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We always have struggles! We are married to each other and to our business, and of course to our 2 French Bulldogs, so along the way we have learned to be understanding, patient and most importantly, loving. As we built our business, we took the ups and downs in stride. We worked from home in the beginning and would take walks to LACMA to decompress. We have introduced de-stressing techniques to balance our work and play lifestyle, but along the way, we have grown a successful business and did it all on our own terms.

Careers In Government – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Careers In Government, Inc. is a leader in the advertising and marketing of State and Local Government recruitments over the last 22 years. As a leader in the industry, Careers In Government, Inc. is uniquely positioned to increase public exposure for employers thru the unique utilization of Social Media, Diversity Marketing, SEO strategies as well as partnerships with job board aggregators that will allow us to deliver targeted and qualified job seekers to thousands of our nationwide employers. We are proud to include the largest counties in the nation, such as LA County, Alameda County, Maricopa County to leading cities like Denver, Detroit, Seattle and Austin.

Simply put, we are the only full-service marketing and advertising partner for the public sector.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Our proudest moment was recently speaking to both sets of parents about our success and seeing the pride in their eyes and the overwhelming enthusiasm for the business we have developed. We took over Careers In Government from Corey’s parents and they have been instrumental in helping us grow the business and have been helping us from day 1. I personally cannot thank Corey’s mother, Inge, enough. She has been a cheerleader and “consultant” from the very beginning and helped us with a smooth transition when we took over the business.
