Meet Ricardo Medina of Medina’s Landscaping Services in Santa Clarita Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Medina.

Ricardo Medina learned about landscaping and gardening starting in his late teens and early 20s. He takes pride in all of the work he does and over the years has continued to learn more about the latest in the industry. He has grown his business to include both commercial and residential landscaping. Whatever the project is, he takes the time to find out exactly what his client wants so that he can deliver the best product and personalized service.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not always been a smooth road. In addition to the usual challenges of growing a small business, the industry of landscaping, and particularly in Southern California, has presented its own struggles. With an ongoing drought, it has been a challenge at times to grow the business when people are being more water conscious, etc. To address these challenges, we find proper ways to educate customers, such as using the right irrigation systems to help with saving water, or planting drought tolerant native plants, so that our business can still grow and we can help the environment at the same time.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Medina’s Landscaping Services story. Tell us more about the business.
Medina’s Landscaping Services focuses on both commercial and residential landscaping in Southern California. We specialize in commercial landscaping projects for all kinds of businesses, and residential landscaping projects. We are known for taking the time to find out what the customer truly wants. This is what we are most proud of as a company – providing personalized and top quality service to our customers.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck can always turn – there are good times and bad times in life and in business. The important thing is how you handle your current situation – through hard work and determination and not giving up.
